As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo's Global Pricing Team in Doha as a Senior Cargo Corporate Planning Analyst.
About the role
In this role you will be responsible for the short/long term network/fleet management to ensure network optimization and asset ROI targets. Gather/validate data and other information both internally (within Qatar Airways Group) and externally and perform sound analytic processing and market research to support informed data-driven decision making.
In addition, help teams formulate recommendations for senior management and provide support for cross-functional improvement projects. Support and train other junior team members to perform their duties and provide feedback to the line manager on their performance.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Lead market research requests emphasizing particularly on competitive intelligence and KPI benchmarking.
- Support leadership with airports' incentives/relations management including (but not limited to) incentives/contracts negotiation, tracking of incentives with Finance, analysis and forecasting.
- Prepare and validate inputs feeding cargo network planning tools in regard to capacity, demand and costs; actively participate in RFPs for tools sourcing and procurement.
- Support fleet plans management through regular updates of the master fleet document and coordination of updates with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations that will help maximize the network profitability in existing markets, optimizing the fleet utilization and enhancing hub connectivity.
- Manage the day-to-day network optimization in the short-term planning window in line with the latest market development, helping increase the airline's bottom line by quickly adjusting capacity, routings, aircraft gauge in coordination with all relevant commercial & operational partners (network sales, revenue management, crew control, IOC, maintenance, operations, etc.).
- Work in close partnership with the regional and HQ commercial teams to obtain realistic forecasts on the commercial flight performance for the running month.
- Maintain dashboards and advise the team of the KPI status on a weekly basis.
- Support maximizing or enhancing profitability by optimizing the allocation of capacity throughout the network (i.e. new destinations, frequency and gauge changes).
- Support in reviewing post-implementation performance of new projects and corrective measures established by senior management.

QualificationsAbout you
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of job-related experience
- Minimum 2+ years of job-related experience in an analytically demanding position
- Has knowledge of global air cargo landscape
- Highly data and process driven and is able to strongly communicate and present data results to influence others
- Strong understanding of Statistics, Financial Reporting and Scenario Planning
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
