- Review the original Scope of Work (SOW) for legacy works and identify changes for cost impact.
- Review and reconcile the Contractor's Interim Payment Applications (IPA) and provide recommendations to the Client.
- Review Contractors' Variation Order (VO) Claims and make recommendations to the Client.
- Conduct take-off measurements.
- Visit the site to cross-check the work completed with the Site Team.
- Analyze and review tender documents.
- Prepare materials logs and measurement sheets.
- Attend coordination meetings with the client and contractors.
- Negotiate with the client and subcontractors, and issue payment certificates.
- Prepare Monthly Reports for invoicing and coordinate with the Accounts Department and Project Engineer.
- Forecast potential costs and prepare draft final accounts for Client review.
- Assist the Department Manager (DM) in reviewing, negotiating, and preparing claim settlements.
- Assist the Division Manager in preparing the monthly Cost Report.
- Maintain all necessary documents, including measurement sheets, meeting minutes, and reports.
- Monitor and record daily work progress.
- Allocate work to subcontractors and prepare subcontractor payments.

- The Cost Control Engineer coordinates all aspects of cost capturing, monitoring, and forecasting for their assigned project, ensuring proper documentation. This role provides comprehensive cost-control services and financial support for projects, maintaining project cost information. In collaboration with the Project Controls Lead, the engineer oversees variations and revisions to existing budgets.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor, control, and report on project costs, including cost history and forecasts.

Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of cost control software such as CCS (Candy) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, and project scheduling and reporting.
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
- ERP skills, preferably SAP, are required.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role; GCC experience is a plus.
- Preferred candidates have experience in Construction, MEP, or Mechanical sectors.
