**About the role**

Lead Aeropolitical and Regulatory Affairs Officer support the team in the management of Qatar Airways bilateral requirements. The role involves research, collection of information/data, and analysis of how to best secure and enhance Qatar Airways’ new / additional traffic rights. Responsible in assisting the team in liaising with QCAA on the creation of the framework, which allows QR’s maximum flexibility. As directed by Management, coordinate and facilitate legal review of all regulatory laws and directives for all countries that may have an impact on QR operations, ensuring the requirements and correspondences are properly articulated and drafted to secure the implementation of these regulations within QR.

Without a Degree: High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience

OR

With a Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience

OR Qatari Nationals: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent without prior experience

Essential
- Law, Aviation Management or International Relations.

You will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of robust compliance and control frameworks. Operational Accountabilities
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, review and enhance compliance policies, procedures and controls tailored to the unique environment and operational landscape of Qatar Duty Free.

- Promote Internal controls enhancements by continuously evaluating and enhancing internal control mechanisms and procedures to strengthen the company's risk management framework and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements, industry trends, and emerging risks affecting the travel retail industry, and advise senior management on potential impacts and required actions to maintain compliance. Driving Change Management.
