**To qualify for the role, you must have**

- Minimum of 8+ years of professional consulting experience in business or technology consulting or similar roles
- Strong SQL skills
- Deep experience with at least one cloud platform; Azure, Amazon, or Google.
- Experience with the toolset of Azure Synapse Analytics using Data Flows, building Spark notebooks, and building queries.
- Experience navigating various types of database models to build data sets for analytics and model training and development.
- Experience modelling data in Power BI and other PowerApps
- Experience working with different data sources in Azure that connect to Microsoft Azure Platform

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategy Revision & Monitoring Collaborate with leadership to help define, refine, and update MCQ’s mid- and long-term strategy and key initiatives Ensure that MCQs strategic initiatives are consistently aligned with organizational mission, strategy and objectives, working closely with relevant teams to adapt plans as necessary Communicate MCQs strategic direction, goals, and progress to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across all levels of the organization Data Analytics & Market Research Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights. Utilize statistical tools and techniques to identify trends and patterns in data. Perform in-depth research to monitor media trends, competitor strategies (regionally and internationally), and sector-enabling programs relevant to media sector development Analyze activities of other media regulators, sector-specific programs, and current and potential future licensees' requirements to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for growth Prepare detailed market analysis and reports to support the development of the annual business plan, identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges that may affect strategic decisions Generate data-driven insights and make strategic recommendations to guide business decisions, ensuring that the MCQ’s is well-positioned to meet its objectives and adapt to market changes Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Continuous Improvement Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems and processes, considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction. Reporting Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies and quality standards. Minimum Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a similar discipline from a reputable university. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus. Minimum Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in business strategy, market research, or data analytics within a corporate or regulatory environment. Proven experience in analyzing market trends, conducting competitor analysis, supporting strategy planning processes. Experience in preparing strategic reports and presenting data-driven insights to senior leadership. mselect is seeking a Data Management and Business Intelligence Analyst for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a business environment, with specific exposure to Business Processes and Data Analysis related to Project Management, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Fluency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data modelling: Develop custom data models and algorithms for data sets.
  2. Data Mining, Cleaning, and Munging.
  3. Data Visualization and Reporting (Power BI).
  4. Data warehousing and structuring.
  5. Business Process and Workflow management (SharePoint).
  6. Statistical and Risk Analysis.
  7. Database Programming (SQL).
  8. Software Engineering Skills.
  9. Problem-Solving and Effective Communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer, Information Science, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a business environment with exposure to Business Processes and Data Analysis related to Project Management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong experience with data mining/data analysis methods, data tools, model building, algorithms, and simulations.
  • Experience with statistical and data mining techniques to analyze data from various sources to optimize business strategies.
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Python, etc., including web services and cloud tools.
  • Knowledge of Master Data object definitions and models is advantageous.
  • Experience in Business Process Analysis, Modeling, and Workflow automation.
  • Proficiency in documentation and diagramming methods such as entity relationship diagrams, process diagrams, and workflow diagrams.
  • Good understanding of Project Management principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS SharePoint, and Power BI.
