**About this role**
In our organization the function of ball valve design engineer got the following main tasks:
- Checking order related specifications.
- Transferring the requirements of a given order correctly into drawings, part lists and works instructions.
- Adapting existing standard drawings and parts list to the specific requirements of a given order.
- Issuing drawings, parts lists including specification for purchasing of bought out items and works instructions to the shop floor.
- Making sure that the right tools are used in order to optimized the needed time to generate these documents as well as to optimize their quality.
- Supporting sales by
- Helping them to understand specifications and to choose the version out of our product portfolio, which is meeting an actual specification the best.
- Making technical presentation outside
- Giving technical input on customer’s specification
- Generating sales manuals
- Finding new products and optimizing the existing ones
- Supporting purchasing from a technical point of view.
- Supporting production by
- Deciding how to handle reported non-conformances from the engineering point of view.
**What you need to bring**
We are expecting the following skills/background:
- Work experience as ball valve design engineer
- A team orientated approach
- Sufficient experience in using a 3D CAD System
- Sufficient knowledge on valve standards such as API 6D, ASME B16.34
- Sufficient experience in stress calculation of pressure containing parts as per ASME BPV
