Primary Objective
To manage all engineering activities associated with a Mega Projects PMC contract as part of an integrated Client/Company team.
Specific Accountabilities
- Responsible for the engineering administrative function, directing and consulting several groups engaged in interrelated engineering responsibilities
- Plan and manage the execution of the multi-discipline FEED/Conceptual Design Studies & EPC engineering in both local and affiliated international offices
- Preparation and administration of design budgets, estimates, forecasts and schedules.
- Recruitment and Development of a technically competent, cohesive and functional engineering team
- Be responsible for the timeliness and technical correctness of all works performed by the Engineering Team
- Technical Integrity - take responsibility for the technical integrity of the team, addressing working methods, tools, quality assurance, peer reviews, communication with team members on other projects.
- Manage value improvement processes
- Manage third party consultants/specialists
- Ensure all design engineering activities meet or exceed engineering standards with regard to quality, cost, safety and performance
- Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system including utilizing the corporate Project Management systems
- Safety – Responsible for personal safety and adherence to safe working practices for the Oil & Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&S procedures
Essential Skills/experience
- B. Sc., Engg (Mech., Chem., Civil, Electrical.) from an accredited college or university.
- Must have experience in oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry.
- Must have experience in related designation / specialty.
- Must have experience in Middle East
- Must have a proven track record of managing multiple projects in Design & Engineering in the oil and gas industry

Job Purpose:
- Provides support and assistance to Dredging Project Manager for activities associated to reporting, including but not limited to: PMT weekly report and actions list, actions lists from weekly and monthly meetings with Contractor, preparation of inputs. Focal point to the Team for Decision Records, Technical Notes.
- Manages the coordination of Company follow-up team of the Dredging EPC contactor across the internal project team functions to ensure project integration of the activities; Supports reporting and management of internal and external stakeholders.
- The resource could be involved in other project either in FEED or execution phase of the program.
Job Accountabilities:
- Provides Project Management support to the Dredging Project Manager as specified in the Job purpose section.
- Leads the coordination to ensure alignment between the various members of the Project Teams, providing information and resolving misalignment as required. Monitors interface agreement performance, highlighting and intervening in critical and underperforming interfaces to avoid any impacts to execution.
- Monitors project performance, KPIs and exception reports to identify critical issues in support of overall project management. Supports resolution through coordination with the respective functional managers to identify mitigation options and contingency plans. Coordinates and manages various action registers to ensure completion of tasks.
- Coordinates with the Business team the change management process driving change orders to final resolution and providing clear line of sight.
- Active support role in Risk Management Program identifying risks and defining and tracking mitigations actions through relevant disciplines/functions.
- Maintains compliance with the Project Management System (PMS) by managing the completion of the required PMS deliverables, coordinating and scheduling the Gate Reviews, and tracking all findings and observations to closure in accordance with requirements.
- Monitor the completion of FEED deliverables. Holds periodic status reviews and highlights areas of concern for prompt resolution.
- Coordinate multi discipline interface reviews (MEP, civil, instrumentation, etc.) through regular meetings and workshops.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 8 years' experience in Engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and including 1 year experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/sub- contractors/service/vendor personnel.
- Experience on large brownfield projects including understanding of the Dredging, Tunneling works with FEED/EPC Contracts and execution teams
- Prior experience in Qatar or the Middle East preferred

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 15 years experience in discipline engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience with Wood or legacy Wood companies
- Experience in EPCM contract will be advantageous
- Balance of techical and management experience at relevant level and position.
- Typically requires several years of supervisory experience with an understanding of human relations, training, performance evaluation and health and safety • Broad and extensive knowledge of engineering theories and techniques and a high level of skill in application of this knowledge in the management of the engineering function
- Capable of representing business and client to business associates in a professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing people at all levels of the organization.

The candidate will ensure that all design solutions align with Qatar's environmental standards, international best practices, and sustainable development goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee environmental design considerations within architectural, infrastructure, and engineering projects.
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar environmental regulations, UPDA standards, and international frameworks (ISO 14001, LEED, GSAS, etc.).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainable and eco-friendly practices into design solutions.
