Job Description

Job Summary: You will be responsible for meeting the revenue targets of the assigned sales team.

You will hire, onboard, and operationally manage a team of sales executives, driving their individual and team revenue targets.

Throughout the sales lifecycle, you will collaborate with internal teams responsible for sales operations, solutioning/delivery, partner management, and external vendors/partners to propose and sell suitable solutions to customers.

You will also provide reports to senior management on sales team performance, customers, competitors, and the overall technology landscape in relevant markets.

Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with senior client stakeholders is within your scope of work as a Sales Manager.

Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Head of Sales or the BU Head. Senior Sales Executives/Sales Executives report to this role.

Job Objectives:
  • Build and manage the sales team, align performance with organizational goals, and achieve targets.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Sales Lifecycle Ownership: Own the entire sales cycle for yourself and your team, including generating new leads through various methods, developing solutions with clients, identifying suitable technologies, and positioning the company as a prime contender.
  2. Manage the bidding process collaboratively with the bidding team, ensuring quality proposals and bids, and closing deals.
  3. Lead negotiations with clients, providing inputs to senior management on discounts and scope changes.
  4. Review contracts with internal and external parties and own the contract sign-off process.
  5. Ensure proper handover of closed deals to the delivery team.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Visit major customers regularly to strengthen relationships and explore business opportunities.
  • Entertain customers as necessary to build strong relationships.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers such as CIOs and IT Directors.
  • Ensure departments understand customer requirements and respond appropriately.
  • Ensure proper CRM usage by the sales team.
Revenue Generation, Reporting, and Analysis:
  • Meet and exceed sales revenue targets.
  • Maintain acceptable gross profit margins.
  • Generate credible forecasts and report regularly to management.
  • Provide market intelligence on clients, competitors, and partners.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Sciences, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 10-12 years of professional experience, with at least 5-8 years in a client-facing sales role.
  • Experience managing a team of at least 4-5 members, with a background in frontline sales and account management desirable.
  • Experience in customized IT solution sales and digital space is highly desirable.
  • Early career sales experience should include selling customized software solutions with a proven track record.
  • Experience in the Middle East, Qatar, or the GCC region is highly desirable but not mandatory.
