We, the Corporate Planning (CP) team, support the development of medium and long-term strategic initiatives, as well as day-to-day functions and ad-hoc tasks. Within a complex data environment, tasks involve a combination of sound analytic processing and market research to support informed decision-making within CP. Network Planning and Scheduling
  • Evaluate and develop short- and long-term schedules and/or business cases for new or existing routes through comprehensive detailed analysis.
  • Support maximizing or enhancing profitability by optimizing capacity allocation throughout the network, e.g., new destinations, frequency changes, and structural changes (aircraft, retime, tags, triangles, etc.).
  • Support analysis and produce standard reports for scheduling planning KPIs.
  • Coordinate capacity changes with operational departments, airports, and slot coordinators.
  • Assist in synchronizing marketing and/or operating codeshares with partner carriers.
  • Develop expertise in network planning and scheduling topics.
Corporate Strategy and Fleet Planning
  • Conduct analysis and market research to support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate on core research activities for strategy projects and ad-hoc internal/external requests.
  • Contribute to developing long-term network plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Maintain and share customized reports on the QR network, fleet, and competitive landscape weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Update the fleet plan database and prepare outputs for key stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of presentations for senior management.
  • Summarize relevant industry news and circulate updates to stakeholders.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the project management of strategic projects from the beginning to the end of their life cycle by monitoring and tracking tasks and activities, prioritizing actions and project plans, ensuring those are kept up to date at all times.

You will act as the focal point for the VP Airline Partnerships and as well as VP Fleet Planning & Strategy, and provide administrative support at an excellent standard.

The key accountabilities for the role are:

- Lead project management team and closely work with internal and external stakeholders on relevant projects.
- Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with key partner airlines by establishing a close coordination, tracking projects and follow up to ensure that partnerships create value to Qatar Airways.
- Work closely with the respective stakeholders to support in the oversight of all projects from kick off to delivery.
- Provide assistance in budget preparation and monitoring of expenditures so that all projects are managed within the assigned budget.
- Provide technical and logístical support to VP Airline Partnerships, VP FP&S, project managers or other relevant parties involved in the projects.
- Lead the monitoring of progress of the projects and provide periodic updates to VP Airline Partnerships, VP FP&S, and Project Managers on the agreed timelines.
- Ensures proper and detailed project management documentation is in place, including projects plans, design, projects briefs, performance and development criteria, change requests, resources updates, and specifications changes and project related dependencies.
- Ensure proper presentation of business cases, project briefs and related information to relevant stakeholders by ensuring that objectives are properly documented and followed, in order to maintain project timelines and requirements.
- Coordinate to manage aircraft wet-lease project from and to Qatar Airways including steering of all internal coordination and project management as well as being the focal point to the third party airline involved.
- Manages strategic partnership and investment projects and acts as focal point of such projects on behalf of the VP Airline Partnerships and VP FP&S.
- Oversees the preparation of administration related reports and analysis, taking a lead role in setting and/or improving policies and procedures, communicating and clarifying company policies and resolving admin related cases with Finance, Contracts, Legal departments.
- Provides business documentation support, including report writing, presentation creation and spreadsheet preparation.
- Identify additional cooperation areas jointly by closely working with internal and external partners to maximize benefit to both parties.
- Conducts site visits, meets various stakeholders for project coordination to assess Project feasibility.
- Acts as first point of contact and provides key liaison with the main stakeholders within the business and externally to the Group in relation to all assigned projects.
- Continuously improve and oversee existing admin processes and information systems, to ensure streamlined and efficient processes and systems are in place to support realization of projects within VP Airline Partnerships and VP FP&S office.
- Resolves complex project/administrative problems independently but ensures that the structure, standards, processes and tools as defined by the company are in place and maintained.

About the role

As a Corporate Planning Analyst, you will be tasked with supporting the development of medium and long-term strategic initiatives, day-to-day functions and ad-hoc tasks. You will be responsible to gather/validate data or other information, both internally within CP and between departments. Within a complex data environment, tasks will involve a combination of sound analytic processing and market research to support informed decision-making within CP. You will help to formulate recommendations to senior management and will provide support on departmental cross-function initiatives.

Other key responsibilities are:

- Support market research and analysis within Corporate Planning
- Work as part of a team to undertake core research activities supporting various strategy projects, internal, and external ad-hoc requests.
- Support the development of strategic long-term network plans in line with the company’s objectives
- Maintain, update and periodically share customized reports on QR network, fleet and benchmark studies on a weekly /monthly /quarterly basis
- Update the fleet plan database and prepare outputs to key stakeholders
- Support the preparation of presentations to senior management
- Prepare summaries on relevant industry news and circulate with key stakeholders
- Develop expertise on Strategy and Fleet Planning topics
- Monitor industry news, press releases, relevant articles and key airline investor day results
- Keep aware of Competition, Economic, Political and Technology developments in the aviation related domain
- Help to support CP team and/or other departments as and when required
- Provide knowledge, skill transfer and/or support and share data or findings
- Build strong relationship with key stakeholders

**Qualifications**:
About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Corporate Planning Team.
- Bachelor degree is essential.
- 3+ years of job-related experience
- Able to cope under pressure
- Ability to perform analysis in excel with accuracy and thoroughness.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform simple data mining. Ability to produce presentations in PowerPoint.

Note: Fresh graduates specializing in (but not limited to) Aviation, Business Administration, Commerce, Science and Engineering, Finance, Legal, Mathematical or Statistical will also be considered.

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager Strategic Alliances to join our Strategic Alliances Department.

The role is responsible for the design, negotiation and implementation of Qatar Airways’ partnership strategy aligned with the company overall strategy and goals. This role aims to enhance Qatar Airways’ network and commercial reach in alignment with the airline’s commercial strategy and growth ambitions.

The responsibility of this role will include partnership relationship management, identifying and developing cross-functional initiatives to maximizing partnership value for Qatar Airways and its partners, working internally and externally with Network Strategy, Network Planning, Schedule Planning, Sales & Distribution, B2C, Marketing, Pricing and Revenue Management, Loyalty and Alliances units (“Commercial workstreams”) as well as Technical, Procurement and Cargo, to positively impact top-line and bottom-line.

There are 2 requirements for this role with geographical scope split between East and West.

Specific Accountabilities Include:

  • Anticipate industry developments, evolving competitive landscapes and regulatory changes that can impact Qatar Airways and its partners and provide relevant and innovative recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead the assessment and pursuit of new partnership opportunities, including joint ventures, block spaces, codeshare and interline agreements, aligned with the department strategy.
  • Drive the formulation and implementation of the Alliances & Partnerships strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and KPIs.
  • Negotiate and align the different partnerships with the overall Alliances & partnerships strategy, objectives and KPIs.
  • Develop business cases, articulate KPIs and oversee the performance evaluation of each partnership to ensure measurable value creation for Qatar Airways and its partners.
  • Manage partnership relationship by making sure that proper governance and/or appropriate channels of communication with partners are in place whilst fostering partners alignment with the strategy and goals.
  • Establish regular engagement with key internal stakeholders to promote understanding and communication.
  • Establish the department or teams’ objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.

About You

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 10 years of job-related experience.
  • Strong experience in a commercial strategic role within the airline or travel industry.
  • Deep understanding of the airline partnership business and airline profitability metrics.
  • Previous experience in Pricing and Revenue Management, Network Planning or Sales with extensive technical expertise in Strategic alliances.
  • Deep knowledge of airline industry revenue planning processes, including capacity/network planning and revenue forecasting.
  • Business planning and associated processes in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical and systems-thinking skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and spoken presentation.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with proven influencing and negotiating skills, including the ability to achieve results through individuals outside his/her direct control.
  • Excellent leadership experience - Adept at cross-cultural working.
  • Sound and independent judgement in the face of conflicting demands.
  • Able to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow with strong mentoring and coaching skills.
