Job Purpose- Coordinate, analyse and control the integrity and quality of Information Management to ensure the availability of latest provided information / documentation to internal stakeholders.
- The nature of the work is non-routine, in that each job is different and requires independent evaluation to establish the most appropriate course of action and allocation of resources.
- Provide expert guidance in the direction of Asset Information Management, non-asset information and knowledge management components across different internal groups and departments, demonstrating the ability to supervise a team of contract information management professionals in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, problem solving and decision making while under time pressures.
- Analyse engineering and vendor data and documentation and maintain softcopies, to ensure all data and documentation comply with the latest modifications of the facilities.
- Participate in the Final Document Clarification Workshops for all internal and external projects to align understanding on information management requirements by all involved parties, to meet Company's expectations at final handover and project close-out.
- Coordinate and execute the Final Information handover review audit process for all internal and external Projects, ensuring all data is retained in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Liaise with Operations Expansion & Startup Department (OES) on the Early and Final Documentation requirements as defined in the Operations Readiness Plan for all Major Projects.
- Supervise the Final Information handover process for all internal and external Projects and ensure data and documentation is available to all relevant parties within agreed parameters after handover of the facilities.
- Review, supervise and verify status, relevance and currency of all data and documentation received from internal and external sources before uploading in the Asset Information Management System (AIMS). Inspect AIMS to ensure the standard and quality of data held is relevant and accurate.
- Coordinate with Records Management team, to ensure the archiving, retrieval and disposal process related to Plant Asset Information is per Company's requirement.
- Manage the effective execution of the Plant Asset Information requirements through the Service Request portal.
- Coordinate and contribute to the verification of the application of Information Management Processes and Procedures, review and recommend areas for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- 8 years' relevant information / document control experience with information management systems in a technical project information management environment within the oil and gas industry with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
- In depth knowledge and skills of information management guidelines, policies, procedures, and legal restrictions to ensure effective decision-making within established industry standard.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Documentation Development
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including user manuals, installation guides, configuration guides, operation manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Write software release notes detailing updates, new features, and bug fixes.
- Ensure documentation versions are clearly numbered, with older versions properly archived.
- Gather and analyze technical data to ensure accuracy and completeness of content.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to understand technical specifications and translate them into effective documentation.
2. Simplifying Technical Content
- Convert complex technical concepts into simple, clear, and concise information suitable for both technical and non-technical users.
- Maintain a consistent tone, structure, and terminology across all documents.
3. Technical Content for Multiple Platforms
- Produce technical content for digital platforms such as websites, internal knowledge bases, and customer support portals.
- Create visual aids such as diagrams, charts, and flowcharts to enhance understanding.
- Support bilingual documentation (Arabic and English) for accessibility and localization.
4. Continuous Improvement
- Regularly review and update documentation to reflect new features, system changes, and process updates.
- Incorporate user feedback and analytics to improve documentation quality and usability.
- Implement best practices in documentation management and version control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of proven experience as a Technical Writer in IT, software development, or a related industry.
- Excellent command of both
Arabic and English
(spoken and written).
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of IT concepts, software development processes, and technical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Confluence, Markdown, MS Office, or Docs-as-Code systems).
- Experience with API documentation and software release processes is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team player with strong collaboration and feedback management skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Working knowledge of Git or version control systems for managing documentation.
- Experience creating bilingual (Arabic/English) documentation.
- Familiarity with software documentation frameworks such as Sphinx, Docusaurus, or similar.
- Background in SaaS, software engineering, or IT infrastructure environments.
