The Airfield Driving Program Technician is responsible for providing Airfield driving training to military and contract members in accordance with AFI and 379 AEWI

Responsibilities:

• Shall perform Airfield driving training in accordance with the performance work statement with zero discrepancies in scheduling personnel needing training within the required time frame.
• Shall ensure all personnel who attend flight line training are properly trained and do not violate CMA rules.
• Shall submit weekly report of all training activity IAW the PWS.
• Responsible for following a comprehensive safety program in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.

• Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

Waste Collection & Transport

• Operate heavy trucks to collect, transport, and dispose of waste materials as per assigned routes and schedules.
• Ensure all waste bins and containers are handled safely and securely during loading, transportation, and unloading.

• Coordinate with site supervisors and clients for smooth waste collection operations.

Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection

• Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and ready for operation at all times.
• Ensure proper handling of hydraulic systems, compactor mechanisms, and lifting equipment.

• Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and waste transport regulations.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Ensure proper load securing and avoid overloading or spillage during transport.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in all operations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and waste transfer notes.
• Obtain proper signatures and maintain documentation for each completed job.
• Report delays, incidents, or route deviations to the supervisor immediately.

Other Duties

• Assist in training new drivers on safe and efficient waste collection practices.
• Support other operational tasks as needed within the transportation department.
