Job Description
Overview We are recruiting for a Teaching Centre Assistant. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated person who will deliver high quality and efficient customer services to internal and external teaching centre customers, meeting customers’ needs and enabling the British Council to achieve its objectives. The job holder will support the Teaching Centre in the delivery of quality courses (especially Young Learners), in particular by assisting teachers to monitor young learners.

Qualifications and Experience

Working/volunteering experience in a customer-facing role
Intermediate command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Desirables may be used during shortlisting in the event of a large number of applicants for the posts and priority will be given to applicants who already are in Qatar.

Maintain confidential information and ensure information pertaining to students and the school is not shared or discussed without the approval of the teacher or senior management team.
Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers / supervisors.
Skills
Qualifications / knowledge:
Good level of general education especially in Maths and English.
Skills:
Strong communication skills with excellent standard of written and spoken English. ICT skills desirable. Able to handle a range of tasks, work under pressure and relate well to children and colleagues.
Experience:
Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with children preferred.
GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and staff. A UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is a pre-requisite for all appointments.
