Job Overview

A Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in keeping equipment, vehicles, and machinery in optimal condition. Responsibilities include routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and addressing breakdowns to ensure smooth project operations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular equipment inspections, implement preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot, and repair machinery breakdowns, manage spare parts inventory, collaborate with project teams to understand equipment needs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure minimal downtime and maximize the reliability of machinery and vehicles essential for construction projects.
• Supervise all PMV equipment maintenance works within the project sites.
• Schedule and work allocation for maintenance manpower.
• Identify the parts required and issue the MR, MPR and EVSR.
• Coordinate and fulfill the project maintenance requirements.
• Consultant approved PMV in charge for the Projects.
• Represent PMV for weekly meetings with Consultant.
• Coordinate and follow up for the third-party repairs.
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in PMV maintenance within the construction industry.
• Relevant certifications in equipment maintenance and experience with construction machinery.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction machinery and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of safety regulations, and hands-on experience in maintenance operations.

• Ensure compliance and maintainability of an ISO certification across the SI organization performing appropriate gate checks to audit / monitor adherence to this program.

Maintenance Engineer - Job Responsibilities’:

- Receive work instructions from Plant Manager/Production Manager or person who will manage the plant in their absence.
- Analyze the breakdown and distribute the tasks among the technicians.
- To investigate the breakdowns and inspect on completion of jobs.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of all activities related to furnace
- Monitoring & implementing preventive maintenance schedule for each equipment present in the plant.
- Always make sure the availability of equipment in working condition without affecting production flow.
- Analysis of reports
- Periodical inspection identifies and corrects the wrong working procedure of operators.
- Should manage stores along with plant maintenance activities
- Generating store request form/LPR for spare required.
- To maintain the Work / time register for all technicians/maintenance labors on daily basis
- Responsible for implementation & maintenance of QEMS/OSHMS, Policies and Procedures of both system including Aspect & Impact and Operational control related to maintenance activities
- Responsible to work safely and with due concern for the health and safety of the co-workers and the environment
- Responsible for all OSH & Environment related activities in maintenance
- Providing periodical refresher training to workers on job refreshment, emergency breakdowns, safe handling of hazardous situation etc
- Complying with the legal requirements as applicable to his area of activity
- Stopping work if identify anything that could cause harm to any person for which controls are not in a place
- Actively participate in any OSH related communications and committees
- Reporting OSH incidents and near misses & assist in investigations.
