to join our team for Onshore & offshore operations in the oil & gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the
maintenance, and testing
of transformers, MV/LV switchboards, A/C systems, UPS & DC UPS, and other electrical equipment. - Supervise
LV/MV/HV cable laying and termination
and manage above ground. - Conduct testing of electrical systems including
SFRA, Tan-Delta, Vector Group, Relay Testing (Primary & Secondary Injection)
, and other pre-commissioning & commissioning tests. - Interpret and verify
electrical drawings, schematics, datasheets, international standards, and test reports
. - Ensure
technical compliance and quality control
throughout project phases on offshore platforms. - Perform protection relay settings and testing (e.g.
Siemens, GE, ABB relays
) and manage system coordination. - Utilize advanced testing tools such as
OMICRON CMC-256, CPC-100, FREJA 549, HV/VLF test kits
, etc.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
(or equivalent). - 8–10 years
of relevant experience in electrical testing and maintenance, preferably in onshore/offshore oil & gas projects. - Proficiency in
project coordination, progress monitoring
, and preparation of technical documentation. - Strong knowledge of
international electrical standards
and testing procedures. - Experience with
protection and control systems
, cable/transformer differential testing, and system energization. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be
medically fit
and willing to work offshore.

Responsibilities
The Testing and Commissioning Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all testing and commissioning activities across all construction packages:This role ensures that building systems - mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialized systems - are fully functional, compliant with design specifications, and ready for handover to the client.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing and commissioning plans for allbuilding and utilities systems in the project
- Coordinate with design consultants, design guardians, contractors, and projectmanagers to ensure readiness for commissioning
- Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), andcommissioning procedures
- Lead commissioning meetings and workshops with stakeholders
- Monitor and verify system performance against design and operationalrequirements
- Manage third-party testing agencies and ensure compliance with regulatorystandards
- Identify and resolve commissioning-related issues and deficiencies
- Maintain detailed documentation of all testing and commissioning activities
- Ensure integration of systems (e.g., HVAC, BMS, fire alarm, lighting, elevators) andvalidate interoperability
- Support training and handover processes for client operations teams
- Provide technical input during design reviews to ensure systems arecommissionable
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance during commissioningactivities
Requirements
- Education: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is typically required and MMUP/UPDA registration.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in testing, commissioning, or quality assurance within Qatar
- Proven experience in managing testing and commissioning projects.
- Experience with large-scale sports projects
- Familiarity with commissioning software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, BIM 360)
- Certification in commissioning (e.g., ACG, NEBB) is a plus
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building automation, and commissioningstandards (ASHRAE, CIBSE, etc.)
- Technical Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of the systems, equipment, or processes being tested.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Familiarity with testing equipment and tools.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for coordinating with project teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.
