Job Description
Perform technical reviews of industrial processes, prepare engineering calculations and analysis, and manage Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) and energy inventories for company facilities. Provide technical advice on energy efficiency, climate change issues, and corporate sustainability targets. Support the management of climate change projects and ensure compliance at the facilities. Principal Accountabilities:
Support the development of standards and methodologies for corporate GHG emissions and energy inventories. Maintain and validate GHG emission and energy inventories for management access and corporate reporting. Support the assessment of cost-effective technologies to improve environmental performance in line with sustainability strategies. Conduct technical-economic studies to promote energy efficiency and climate change mitigation in line with sustainability goals. Coordinate with operational and engineering teams to identify carbon credit-generating projects for participation in international carbon markets. Provide technical advice on international climate change laws, regulations, and carbon markets for decision-making. Convert sustainability strategies into implementation plans for facilities. Conduct on-site inspections of emission sources and abatement technologies, evaluate compliance, and provide guidance on industry best practices. Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on climate change, GHG mitigation, energy efficiency, and compliance. In-depth knowledge of climate change agreements, laws, and carbon credit markets. Strong analytical and report-preparation skills. Experience with air quality modeling is desirable. Proficiency in implementing emission reduction plans and internal control processes.
