Allen & York Middle East have been charged to recruit a Business Development Manager (Energy EPC Projects) to be based in Qatar. Our client is a leading international EPC company specialized in power projects. The company is experiencing strong growth in their business practice. Key activities will include:
- Achieve commercial, prequalification and development efforts according to the company's strategy.
- Take full responsibility of proposals preparation, delivery, negotiation and closing.
- Understand the RfPs from the commercial and from the technical point of view, coordinate all internal interfaces with the headquarters and with other entities of the company, coordinate all external interfaces with sub-contractors and partners.
- Manage the relations with the client, ensuring full compliance with the sales processes, defining the competitive price, ensuring timely delivery of the offer, following-up during bid evaluation periods and negotiating with the client until final award.
- Follow up the satisfaction of the client during the contract execution. He/she will be in charge of consolidating the relationship with existing clients and grow the business with them.
- Develop new clients in accordance with the strategy and the prospection plan defined for the GCC Region.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out full market prospection (clients, suppliers, competitors and products).
- Get updated information related to the proposals, clients, organization and entities.
- Generate, develop and maintain commercial links, both with clients and suppliers.
- Participate in the elaboration of commercial policies, budget, prices, agreements.
- Analyze the financial viability of the projects.
- Provide the most appropriate technical and economic solutions for the project’s interest.
- Defend commercial interests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Engineering.
- 5 years of sales / proposals / business development in the energy, power and/or gas sector in the Middle East.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Able to listen to, and to understand client’s needs; an ability to articulate these needs into a service offering.
- An analytical and synthetic spirit.
- Autonomous and solution-oriented; yet a team player.
- Strong communication skills, evident at all levels.
- Fluent in English. Practical knowledge of Arabic, French, German or Spanish is a plus.

Your Key Responsibilities
