Job Description:
We are seeking a Site Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical works for a project based in Lusail, Qatar. This is a 4-month contract with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute mechanical site activities including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and other disciplines on-site.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support as required.
- Monitor project progress and report daily/weekly updates to the Project Manager.
- Perform quality inspections and ensure compliance with local and international codes.
- Assist in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant site experience in mechanical works (preferably in the Gulf region).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and mechanical installations.
- Excellent site supervision and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software.
- Must have a valid Freelancer Visa and be currently based in Qatar.

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Ideally 10 years (or more depending on level) of experience in road construction projects, preferably with exposure to Ashghal or similar governmental authority contracts.
- Familiarity with QCS, Ashghal standards, local regulations in Qatar.
- UPDA / MMUP registration preferred.
- Strong technical skills: knowledge of pavement design, materials, asphalt, concrete, drainage, utilities coordination.
- Good communication skills (English required; Arabic a plus).
