Work Schedule: 5-day week
B.Sc. or higher in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university; advanced degrees are advantageous.
Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution is preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
At least 10 years of experience in offshore projects .
Minimum 8 years as Senior Rotating Engineer on major projects, and 7 years as Lead Discipline Engineer in reputable EPIC contractors or consulting firms.
Strong knowledge of Shell DEPs , international design codes , and engineering software tools .
Extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary design reviews, equipment procurement, factory testing, and interface resolution.
Lead all engineering efforts related to rotating equipment for BH and MM Redevelopment offshore projects.
Serve as Technical Authority (TA-2) for rotating equipment, including technical deviation assessment and approval (as per delegation level).
Accountable for ensuring designs are safe , cost-effective , fit-for-purpose , and meet project schedules , specifications , and quality standards .
Coordinate with Engineering Manager, discipline leads, stakeholders, and contractors to manage design activities, reviews, vendor engagement, and issue resolution.
Develop project design scopes, review and approve discipline deliverables, including specifications, datasheets, models, drawings, and vendor documents.
Oversee and participate in HAZOP , HAZID , SIL , ENVID , 3D model reviews , constructability reviews , and other technical workshops.
Support tendering activities: technical bid evaluations, technology assessments, and contractor/vendor selection.
Ensure smooth transition and interface between engineering , procurement , fabrication , construction , and commissioning phases.
Maintain strong relationships with EPIC contractors and vendors, providing clarification and technical interpretation as needed.
Support the development and mentorship of junior engineers and Qatari Nationals.
Expertise in rotating machinery selection and design (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, etc.).
Mastery of international engineering standards, QA/QC practices, and risk-based decision-making.
Strong leadership , planning , and communication skills in a multi-cultural project environment.
Ability to deliver under pressure and meet project milestones without compromising technical integrity.
