We are seeking a Railway Design Engineer for DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, Qatar Branch. In this role, you will oversee rail systems and infrastructure design activities, monitor subcontractors, and ensure quality and compliance. The position is based in Doha, Qatar, offering exciting challenges and career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in concept design, engineering, and feasibility studies for railway and road connections.
• Design and deliver railway infrastructure projects focusing on safety, reliability, and industry standards.
• Plan, design, and develop railway systems ensuring safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Work on track design, stations, signaling, and related infrastructure for passenger and freight rail.
• Develop detailed designs for tracks, bridges, tunnels, stations, including alignments and drainage.
• Integrate signaling and communication systems into railway designs.
• Supervise design activities, review subcontractor deliverables, and ensure quality control.
• Review design and engineering reports, procedures, and programs for operational and maintenance considerations.
• Identify issues and opportunities for improvement during design activities.
• Perform structural and geotechnical analyses for safety and durability.
• Assess and mitigate risks related to vibration, track stability, and environmental impact.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Railway Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in railway design engineering, with hands-on project experience.
• Experience in concept design, feasibility studies, and master planning for railway and road projects.
• Membership in relevant professional institutions and licensure preferred.
• 1-4 years’ experience in GCC locations preferred.
• Knowledge of railway design standards (e.g., EN 13848, UIC, BS EN 50126).
• Fluent in Arabic and English; excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, and railway design software (e.g., Bentley Rail Track, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Valid driving license required.

The Digital Product Development Manager is a pivotal role within the Digital Product Development team at Ooredoo. This role is responsible for managing the strategic and day-to-day operations of digital platforms (web and mobile applications), overseeing a full-service digital partner team (developers, designers, QAs, etc.), and ensuring the seamless delivery and evolution of digital products. The role is also responsible to ensure operational excellence across digital platforms, manage partner SLAs, lead digital RFPs and contract negotiations, and enforce robust security and compliance standards for all digital integrations. Strong background in managing digital teams, vendors and service contracts.

Experience working in telco, fintech, e-commerce, or digital consumer platforms is a plus.

Expertise in web/mobile technologies, APIs, DevOps pipelines, and backend systems.

Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, risk assessments, and compliance frameworks.

Demonstrated experience in managing complex contracts, budgets, and vendor relationships.

Ability to analyze financial reports, operational KPIs, and budget allocations.

Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Requires a strong blend of technical expertise, contract and vendor management experience, and commercial acumen.

The department manages the entire product development process from ideation to launch for all roadmap initiatives for the Consumer BU portfolio – including Voice, Messaging and Data services, international calling, roaming services, Subscription Services, Mobile Internet and Mobile Broadband, Fixed Broadband, TV, MFS, Digital etc.

This role is responsible for managing product development and management for the Consumer Portfolio of Ooredoo Qatar. The role will have overall responsibility for leading and driving projects, new developments/enhancements and configuration management activities as per approved roadmap.

10 years' experience in a similar role. Experience in defining, developing requirements and delivery of products and services within a technology company – telecommunications and software domains. Must have knowledge of telecom technology platforms especially IT systems. Must have experience of product development, product management life cycle, portfolio management, project management function. Must have team management experience. You will be required to attach the following:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with Qatar Airways' brand and target audience demographics. This includes identifying trends, analyzing competitor offerings, and forecasting future content needs.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with content providers, studios, distributors, and licensing agencies to secure high-quality and diverse entertainment options.
• Lead in the curation, selection and acquisition of entertainment content, ensuring they meets the standards of quality, diversity, and relevance. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously refresh and expand the content library.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate content delivery systems seamlessly into the inflight entertainment platform. Leverage technology solutions to enhance the passenger experience and streamline content management processes
• Utilize data analytics and passenger feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of content offerings. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize viewer engagement, satisfaction, and revenue generation.
• Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, copyright laws, and industry regulations governing the distribution of entertainment content. Stay informed about changes in regulations and proactively address any compliance issues.
• Perform other department related duties as directed by Line Manager or Head of Department.

• High School, Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with minimum of 9+ years of experience of inflight entertainment content and media integration systems.
• Financial understanding of content licensing pricing structure and operational costs
• Strategic mindset with ability to develop and execute long-term content strategies aligned with business objectives
• Familiarity with digital content delivery systems, inflight entertainment platforms, and related technologies.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic
• Strong written reporting, attention to detail and communication skills.
• Advanced skills in MS Office and visualization tools such as Power BI, or any related software.
