We are building a professional winter GT championship running GT-class cars across multiple classes running separately. This is a hands on leadership role for an experienced event and championship professional who can help deliver a safe, fair and commercially successful series. You will lead sporting and operational delivery, own competitor and circuit relationships, and drive the commercial strategy to attract teams and partners. This role suits a pragmatic, detail oriented leader with established motorsport credibility and a record of delivering complex race events.

Overview

Core responsibilities and leadership across governance, race direction, safety, sporting processes, logistics, commercial strategy, people and supplier management, and calendar planning for a winter GT championship.

Responsibilities
  • Championship governance: Manage, plan and coordinate the production and delivery of the events, working closely with other managers, departments, stakeholders, vendors and venues. GT-style cars and multi-class race formats; manage BoP process in collaboration with technical director and stewards.
  • Race direction & event operations: act as Championship/Series Director with ultimate responsibility for event delivery, interfacing with the Track and Sporting Department, the Race Director, Clerk of Course, Chief Steward, Chief Scrutineer, timing & scoring and circuit venue operations to ensure aligned, consistent, professional race weekends. Coordinate with the Event Director / Track Operations Manager of every venue for the delivery of the on-track features of the races.
  • Safety & compliance: set and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Sporting processes & competitor relations: Liaise with the participating teams, oversee entries and licensing. Other responsibilities to include management of podium and parc fermé operations and procedures, competitor communications, scrutineering schedules, stewarding panels, protest and appeal processes.
  • Logistics & operations planning: Co-ordinate and supervise the schedule with each circuit logistic director and logistic partners.
  • Commercial leadership: build sponsorship and partner packages, negotiate rights deals (sponsorship, hospitality, broadcast/streaming), set ticketing strategy, and create activation plans that deliver measurable ROI for partners.
  • People & supplier management: recruit and lead a compact core team plus source and manage service providers to assist in the delivery of the Events, in accordance with an approved budget.
  • Calendar & circuit suitability: liaise with each venue and design a winter calendar that balances competitor travel, track availability and not conflicting other series in the region.
Ideal candidate profile (experience & credentials)
  • Minimum 7-10 years' direct experience in motorsport event/series management, race direction or senior operations roles. Proven track record running GT/GT3/GT4, multiclass, endurance or national/international race series preferred.
  • Practical experience working with ASN/FIA, frameworks, stewarding processes, scrutineering and Balance of Performance (BoP) protocols. Prior role examples: Series Director, Championship Manager, Race Director, Clerk of the Course, Head of Operations for a race series or major endurance events.
  • Strong commercial experience: sponsorship sales/activation, negotiating broadcast and circuit contracts, building budgets and delivering P&L targets.
  • Fluent in English
  • A passion for motorsport and knowledge of the motorsport industry.
  • Proven experience in event planning, execution, and management within the motorsport industry.
  • Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams, including marketing, operations, and sales teams.
  • Selfmotivated and results-oriented professional with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, global environments and consistently meet tight deadlines

An exciting opportunity for Planning Engineer level II to work under Technical Planning & Engineering Department based in Doha Qatar. You will play a key role in providing specialized knowledge & skill for assigned maintenance planning functions including work scope definition, maintenance plans preparation, control of check layovers, capacity planning, fleet wide modification plan preparation, replacement staggering plan for hard time components and management of aircraft deferred defects & trouble shooting recommendations, with a view to optimize resources, minimize costs and ensure airworthiness.

Operational Accountabilities:

  • Develop maintenance plans for heavy maintenance, light maintenance and line maintenance in a cost-effective manner with consideration to the TAT & burn rate.
  • Manage Deferred Defect planning and scheduling to contribute in ensuring the clearance of Deferred Defect swiftly within due date.
  • Manage Trouble Shooting Recommendations planning and scheduling to contribute in ensuring the clearance of TSRs as per defined priority.
  • Develop Shift Line Action Plan in agreement with Production & Supply Chain and execute the same keeping constant liaison with Production for adjustment of Plan in real time according to the changes in operation.
  • Understand Aircraft Parking / Storage regulatory requirements and exhibit skills to prepare Parking / Storage Plans accordingly.
  • Develop capacity plans and detailed manhour plans as per company rules regulatory requirements.
  • Define work scopes and compile work packages for maintenance work on aircraft for in-house and outsourced maintenance while adhering to the time lines as defined in the TPM.
  • Develop detailed modification plan for fleet wide high profile and critical modifications.
  • Develop hard time component staggering plan in coordination with Supply Chain for maintaining optimal inventory for QR fleet with consideration to fleet entry / exit plan.
  • Develop and control Escape Slide Deployment Plan in accordance with approved AMP and as defined in TRAX.
  • Plan Base inputs (Light & Heavy checks) and perform constant review and adjustment to these inputs to accommodate any AOG situation, dock out extensions, aircraft delivery delays and operational disruptions for maintaining integrity of flight schedule.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Production, Engineering Services and Supply Chain for all modifications, inspections, and repair on QR fleet to ensure availability of manpower, materials, tools & equipment, downtime and necessary documentation.

Qualifications

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
  • Degree (B. Eng., BSc in Engineering discipline) or hold an ICAO type Il License.
  • Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of EASA & QCAA regulations pertaining to Part-CAMO.
