To perform all aspects of mechanical maintenance for Qatalum Power Plant.
Job Description :
- Comply with all occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy for safe and effective operations.
- Work with Qatalum's Work Permit / LOTO System to ensure safety during all work performed.
- Promote a healthy and safety culture within the Mechanical department.
- Ensure personal compliance with PPE requirements per Qatalum HSE guidelines.
- Follow operational procedures and instructions to carry out work in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems for the Power Plant.
- Review installation standards, report defects and non-conformance issues.
- Conduct baseline inspections of rotating equipment as directed by the Mechanical Superintendent.
- Perform routine inspections of mechanical equipment and systems under the supervision of the Mechanical Superintendent, in coordination with Maintenance departments.
- Assist in completing preventative maintenance activities and provide feedback on their status, in collaboration with Mechanical Planner.
- Support other departments to ensure high plant availability and quick return to service.
- Assist in data analysis for Root Cause Analysis.
- Coordinate with Engineering to identify spare part needs.
- Assist in auditing spare parts inventory.
- Work with Mechanical Planning Engineer to ensure data is stored in the CMMS.
- Provide feedback on the completion percentage of Preventative Maintenance activities.
- Support the development and training of national employees.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, considering international standards and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications Required
- Technical / Trade Certificate in a relevant field
Minimum Experience Required
- 4-6 years experience with Power Plant mechanical equipment and maintenance skills
- Experience with combined cycle plants and international projects is advantageous
