We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and technically sound individual to join Honeywell’s Process Solution team as a Field Service Engineer based in Doha, Qatar, for our Offshore customers. The purpose of this role is to provide technical support, solve technical problems and incidents and implementation of service projects/contracts for Honeywell customers.
Field Service Engineer responsibilities:
- Perform routine/ complex preventative maintenance work and/ or corrective activities for all system components that comprise the Integrated Automation System (IAS) on board of LNG Offshore Operations Units (LNG Carrier, FSRU, FLNG )
- Deploy latest system software, patches and updates (including Honeywell On and Off Process Migrations)
- Deploy latest security and antivirus updates across the IAS
- Managing complex technical issues, coordinating with Global Technical Assistance Centre (GTAC)
- Managing all activities pertaining to the requesting, accepting and closing of attendance work list (inclusive of performing risk assessment and site impact analysis, peer reviews ensuring the necessary approvals and controls are in place before work proceeds and that the implementers are aware of the limits and restrictions)
- Raise the necessary Service Requests (SR’s) with the relevant GCCC/ or GTAC and follow issue through to resolution
- Escalate any SR issues considered to have either a serious impact or political impact to the Site Services Program Manager
- Participate to Dry Dock works when vessels are in 5 years maintenance operations, time for entire maintenance routine, hardware and software migration
- Be able to maintain a knowledge base of issue /resolution path to share with the service team
- Be able to maintain a historic of parts failure and consumption
- Understand alarms, events and control logic implemented and be able to assist customer during fault analysis
- Be able to design, update, implement and commission small control logic as part of Management Of Change rules
- Maintain good relationship with customer
- Maintain good reporting to FOL and Service Manager
- Adhere to, and ensure the full adherence of others to the sites mandatory Process Control Domain security requirements
- You will be expected to travel between around 75% of travel time while in this role
**Qualifications and Experience**
**- Degree qualified (Engineering / Computer Science) with at least 5 years of experience (experience of Honeywell systems is an advantage)
- Experience of working with live plant equipment in an operational environment (including online work)
- Experience with various Experion Process Knowledge System (EPKS) operating, configuration and troubleshooting displays and tools to identify and rectify faults related to station and server redundancy issues, C200 and C300 error indications (from Local LED’s and Station Displays), FTE networks and Ethernet switches, Configuration Studio, Network Tree, Experion support and maintenance, using Diagnostic Studio, Experion Backup and Restore and SCADA problems (knowledge of TPS system will be an added advantage)
- Knowledge of CISCO switches and network concepts
- You should have good working knowledge of where to find, and how to interrogate Experion System Logs and analysis tools, all Experion hardware and software configuration areas, Windows 2003/2008 Server and security issues, Cisco based networks
- Process control techniques and control strategy implementation
- Excellent problem solving skills, strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of ESD Systems will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of PLC Systems will be an added advantage

What you'll do :
- Responsible for the Testing & Commissioning of Protection IED's, AVR, Tariff meter inclusive of Busbar Protection associated projects.
- Responsible for the resource planning of Field Service commissioning team for active projects.
- Manage the workload of the projects to ensure 90% and above billable ratio.
- Collaborate with other members of a multidisciplinary team for daily work deliverables.
- Understanding the project technical requirement Customer Standards and specification and proposing the solution to customer as per the project scope.
- Support Operations team to execute projects efficiently in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and general reporting (internal / external).
- Ensure that agreements with customer for documentation lead times, delivery, reliability and quality are achieved within the budgetary constraints agreed.
- Demonstrate EHS compliance and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors, giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention.
- Manage and secure approvals, renewal of approvals of T&C engineers from key account customers.
- Ensure commitments to customer are met in accordance with contract with clear feedback through consistent customer interaction, e.g. communication, (e-mail, letters, workshop, etc.) and customer meetings, periodic reviews etc.
- Implementation of Service-Max & Conducting Gate review during the project execution.
- Having full ability to handle Engineering and Field service works for Protection Relays, Panels modification, Protection logic diagram, GA/LA, Protection/SCS/LCC Schematics, Protection IED's/AVR/Tariff meter Configuration, SCS Architecture, SCS Signal list, Cable Schedule, IEC61850 signal mapping, etc
- Support for Production documents (Wiring Table/Label list/Cable Schedule/Interpanel wiring files), CT/VT Adequacy check, Relay setting calculations.
- Having experience for Busbar protection configuration/engineering and site testing.
- Experienced in protection relays software (Micom, Multilin & 3rd Party), Test kits (Omicron), and Microsoft office.
- Effectively communicate directly with customers to ensure excellent customer service and to build and maintain customer intimacy.
- Works with application team to address any product issues and provide the solution to the customer.
- Revise drawings & provide technical clarifications against comments and replying to customer/Consultant comments.
- Support factory during Panels Integration and FAT and clarify/close any raise comments/snags during FAT.
- Raise Change request for any such requirements which are not as per the project specification.
- Supporting management for Man-days and materials estimation during ITO stage and its control during OTR stage.
- Bachelor's in Electrical engineering or related discipline from a reputed university
- Strong experience preferably in Protection IED's Configuration & Testing.
- Knowledge of GE (Micom & Multlin) Protection IED's and Competitors Products.
- Knowledge of schemes and application of protection relays in electrical networks including HV & EHV systems, and state-of-the-art technologies in substation automation.
- Knowledge of Substation Automation System, Digital Substation concepts, IEC61850/PRP/HSR/RSTP and other Serial Communication.
- Experience with Utilities and Industrial customer across Middle east, preferably with Kahramaa, Qatar Energy, Q-Companies approvals shall add advantage.
- Ability to identify problems, collect relevant data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Experience of managing projects for protection and control systems is a distinct advantage.
- Ability and willingness to travel across the region (25%) without limitation.
- Good oral/written communication skills in English and/or Arabic.
- Ability to read, interpret tender/contract documents, schematics, procedures and policy guidelines.

As a Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Centrifugal Compressors & Steam Turbine, you will be coordinating and overseeing work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer. In addition, your Job role may include providing the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment.
As a Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Centrifugal Compressor & Steam Turbine, you will be responsible for :
- Providing technical advice and support to clients and craft labour in the maintenance of Baker Hughes-supplied Centrifugal Compressors.
- Unloading and Inspection of the Centrifugal Compressor & its major auxiliaries at the installation site and their placement on the foundation.
- Improving Geometric dimensional check of foundation, equipment and auxiliary skids positioning, levelling, and alignment
- Performing maintenance activities of various types of Nuovo Pignone Centrifugal Compressors MCL, BCL, PCL, and SRL supplied by Baker Hughes at customer sites.
- Performing minor & major inspections of Centrifugal Compressors. Involving assembly, disassembly, checking and adjusting clearances evaluating wear and damage state of Couplings, lubricated-tooth, and dry-elastic types, thrust bearings and journal bearings of various kinds, gas seals, labyrinth and honeycomb types, Oil seals, gauged floating rings types, Dry gas seals or oil mechanical seals, Labyrinth or honeycomb inner seals, Diaphragms or diaphragms bundle and volutes.
To be successful in this role you will :
- Have a BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of field service experience in the oil & gas / power / refinery industry.
- Have working experience in Rotating equipment (Centrifugal Compressor - Vertical / Horizontal) in the Field at Customer Sites.
- Have excellent Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team working skills.
- Have prior experience in Installation and / or Maintenance activities of Centrifugal Compressors in the Field at Customer Sites

As a , you will advise and counsel for pre-defined maintenance activities. To the extent specified during the performance of work, such service may also include testing, adjustment, programming and other similar services as agreed upon with the Headquarter Technical assistance team.
As a Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Heavy Duty Gas Turbine, you will be responsible for :
- Handling mechanical Inspection of the gas turbine's major auxiliaries as per GE recommended procedures (e.g. level inspection, GG swap etc.)
- Handling Pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, air system
- Assisting Buyer with regular reviews of maintenance activity
- Discussing any mechanical-related NICs / TILs to the Buyer; plan agreed upon implementation of any recommendations.
- Responding to the Buyer's technical inquiries utilizing GE technical support services.
- Maintaining a documented history of all mechanical modifications for the Covered Units.
- Supporting Buyer's operation & maintenance staff with diagnostics counselling and addressing maintenance / operational issues on Covered Units.
- Providing on-the-job training of Buyers operation & maintenance staff at no additional cost to the Buyer. For this Section, "on-the-job training" shall mean training performed by ME during the day-by-day activities without the requirement of additional resources, tools, trainers, equipment and certificate Seller.
- Preparing in concurrence with the Customer detailed work scope for each agreed Outage. For each outage, he / she shall indicate recommended FSEs and Manpower crews. For all Control aspects of outages, the Unit Control Panel Engineer that makes part of the team will advise.
- Performing Equipment start-up, diagnostic and troubleshooting
- Performing Water wash procedure
- Performing lube oil and cooling water systems flushes as per recommended procedures
- Performing Pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, air system
- Advising on the interpretation of drawings for installation optimization
- Working closely with the Instrumentation Engineer during the Maintenance / installation, calibration and set-up of electrical instrumentation (such as vibration probes, temperature elements, servo actuators calibration, etc)
- Marking up all piping drawings to show piping modifications
- Unloading and Inspection of the gas turbine major auxiliaries at the installation site and their placement on the foundation
- Performing geometric dimensional check of foundation, equipment and auxiliaries' skids positioning, levelling (ensure levelness and elevations of sub-sole plates and perform contact checks between sub-sole plates and package supports) and alignment
To be successful in this role you will :
- Have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Have more than 5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas / Power / Refinery / Turbomachinery industries.
