**Primary purpose of job**
Responsible, accountable and provide oversight of day-to-day Construction/execution of E&I activities of department
assigned field Projects to ensure they are constructed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved drawings,
engineering design and safety, environment and QatarEnergy standards & specifications.
Oversee and provide guidance/advice to contractor primarily on Electrical and Instrumentation construction activities and
secondarily on Telemetry and Telecom construction activities to ensure that they are performed as per approved method
statements complying with project schedule, quality and material requirements.
**Experience & Skills**
and offshore of oil and gas production / wellhead platform topside and Jacket structures including construction work and
material inspection, review and approval of construction method statements, load-out activities
2. Experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Telemetry and Telecom discipline of Oil & Gas offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, control, and report Contractor’s performance, man-power deployment, plant and equipment movements, construction slippages, etc
- Conduct daily and weekly meetings with Contractors involving all discipline supervisors, QA/QC Inspectors, and HSE advisors and address/resolve issues hindering progress
- Act as the construction Risk Management representative to identify Construction Risk events, the effects & consequences, propose mitigation measures and take ownership to ensure mitigation measures have been implemented at the site

- Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including material, work, and testing inspections in the fabrication yard, material submissions, and working drawings from contractor and processing documentation as required.
- Check and ensure that all construction works are completed in accordance with approved standards and consistent with contract specifications.
- Coordinate the MCC walk-through, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities with contractors, vendors, and end-users
- Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments. Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommends corrective actions.
- Monitor and control work permits to ensure that contractor compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits.
- Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to offshore sites following the contract award.
- Interact and interface with other contractors, projects, and departments regularly to identify and resolve all construction-related matters especially liaison with Production and Maintenance departments.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and lead the electrical and instrumentation activities in the fabrication department, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to plan and schedule E&I activities
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in accordance with project requirements
- Ensure proper documentation, including work packages, drawings, and as-built records, is maintained throughout the fabrication process
- Monitor and control the progress of E&I works, identifying and resolving any issues or delays to ensure timely project delivery
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Provide technical guidance and support to E&I personnel, ensuring their adherence to safe work practices and promoting a culture of safety
- Collaborate with client representatives, vendors, and subcontractors to address E&I-related matters and maintain effective communication channels
**Essential Qualifications and Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered
- Proven experience as an E&I Supervisor in the oil and gas industry, preferably within a fabrication environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NEC, IEC, API, and ISA
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address E&I-related challenges
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards
