Your day-to-day:

  • Assist with daily financial transactions, including data entry, invoice processing, and reconciliations.
  • Perform income audits to ensure that all revenues are properly recorded and reported in accordance with company policies.
  • Reconcile income from various departments/sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing necessary schedules and reports.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve queries.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Undertake any other finance-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Financial Controller.

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within hospitality or similar revenue-driven environment.
  • Previous exposure to income audit processes is essential.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications

  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Duties And Responsibilities

Finance Department

  • Provide clerical and administrative support
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews and HR events
  • Update records of new staff.
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as Finance Assistant or similar role
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Peach Tree)
  • Organizational and time-management skills

**Your day to day**
As the Assistant Director of Finance and Business Support, you will report to the Director of Finance and Business Support and you’ll Assist in reviewing all proposed contracts for pricing and terms, ensuring that hotel’s interest comes first and is protected at all times. Ensure the timely preparation and release of monthly financial statements and other related reports and their accuracy. Assist in overseeing and ensuring the smooth running of the accounting functions. You will also assist in overseeing the preparation of the hotel’s yearly operating budget, and conducting the necessary audits.
**What we need from you**
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for: - Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting or Finance - Minimum of three years in hotel accounting or internal audit in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Self-directed, motivated with a results-driven approach to work - Solid leadership skills in managing a team - Must speak fluent English - Pre-Opening experience is an advantage
