Job Description

• Training of Security employees in all regulations and factors affecting the operations of the Hotel. e.g. Fire prevention and safety procedures, basic firefighting, preservation of crime scene and evidence, actions, duties and powers where crime is detected, action in crisis situations and report writing
• Supervise the daily processing and distribution of security reports to the Management team.
• To be trained and prepared for all emergency situations as per procedures.
• In close coordination with the Engineering department, to conduct regular preventive maintenance of all safety equipment.
• Strictly controls the entry and exit of the back-of-the-house for contractors, visitors and suppliers. Visitor passes to be issued and controlled.
• Frequent control and supervision of all security posts, including CCTV control room.
• Ensure all staff are thoroughly familiar with the Hotel emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• Review Security logbook daily and takes action if needed.
• Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility
• Keeps updating the emergency manual, with appropriate procedures and forms with the consultation of the Security Manager.
• Security logbook: A daily copy of the security logbook needs to forward to the General Manager / Hotel manager and Head of Departments.
• Contractor/Visitor logbooks: Any visitor; supplier; contractor /or moving company needs to report to the security office to receive induction on emergency procedures as well as receiving a pass. All relevant details need to be recorded in the visitor's register.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, Postsecondary Degree or certificate recommended
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in the Gulf region
• Experience working with multicultural teams
• Computer proficiency – Excel, Windows, Outlook, PowerPoint and Opera
• Communication proficiency (written and verbal)

Job Responsibility:

• Good knowledge SIEM, SOAR, FW, Sandboxing, VPNs, and enterprise level cyber security products.
• Ability to analyze, triage and remediate security incidents and strong understanding of security incident management, malware management processes.
• Constantly monitor data flow and network flow (internally and externally), analyze the traffic and report any suspicious activity.
• Understanding on the latest current IT/OT cyber security intrusions, attacks, hacking techniques, vulnerability disclosures, data breach incidents and security analysis techniques is a big plus.
• Good understanding on cloud, client-server applications, multi-tier web applications, relational databases and any services.
• Strong understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, WANs, LANs, and commonly used Internet protocols and OT segmentations.
• Knowledge on IT/OT security best practices and concepts Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing
• Assist with deploying security tools and operating these tools.
• Managing and updating current security tools and measures.
• Good understanding of Security frameworks and techniques specially Qatar's approved frameworks.
• Provide all necessary consultations for application developers, network engineers, and other personnel.
• To enforce the implementation of security and access policy adopted by QOC.
• To monitor and report any misuse or abuse of access granted to user.
• Report any vulnerabilities and assure that they are mitigated by the related section.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's in information Security, computer science , or computer engineer or a related field.
• Minimum Work Experience: Min of 8+ years of experience in cyber security.
• Level of English: Excellent in both reading and writing.
• Certificates in information security

Job Summary:

The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and safeguarding the organization's IT/OT infrastructure against cyber threats. The role involves incident management, vulnerability assessments, security tool management, and ensuring compliance with approved security frameworks and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor data and network traffic (internal and external) to detect and report suspicious activities.
• Analyze, triage, and remediate security incidents, including malware and vulnerability management.
• Manage, operate, and update security tools (SIEM, SOAR, Firewalls, Sandboxing, VPNs, etc.).
• Enforce security and access control policies; identify and report misuse or abuse of access.

Qualifications & Experience:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees and establishment needs during shift
• Report to the Chief Security all hotel property deficiencies and safety or security hazards
• Initiate action to improve a hazardous situation immediately
• Implement procedures for security and emergency incidents
• In the event of fire, be thoroughly familiar with and guided by the hotel's emergency plan
• Be familiar with location of fire alarms and fire fighting equipment
• Maintain the security system
• Monitor staff clock in on and off duty
• Allocate staff locker keys as necessary
• Conduct random checks of key registers in telephone room, banqueting, engineering, stewarding and housekeeping to ensure the hotel's key control policy is adhered to and report on discrepancies
• Maintain a surveillance of those areas that are frequented by guests and all work areas
• Maintain a vigil on the closed circuit TV system and inform security officer on patrol duties of any unusual happenings
• Ensure checks are conducted on fire panel, fire hose real outlets and fire barriers and all other safety equipment and ensure that all are in good working order and report to the Chief Security any item of equipment which is faulty
• Maintain a good working knowledge of the following:
• The hotel switchboard and paying system
• The control points and the working of the hotel's gas and air conditioning system
• The hotel's fire indicator board, fire wardens telephones and public address system
• Ensure hotel alarm system is in good working order
• Conduct regular locker checks in line with Human Resources
• Check all packages and passes of employees entering and leaving the building
• Carry out monthly fire inspections
• Maintain a good knowledge of the liquor act and criminal code
• Prevent gambling on hotel premises
• Prevent sabotage of hotel premises
• Ensure all outlets, fridges, cupboards etc are fully secured when not in use or unattended
• Ensure no undesirables loiter in or around the hotel premises
• Ensure there is no obstruction to the loading dock and that unauthorized vehicles are removed
• Coordinate functions with other security staff or Police and other government Securities and promote good will with them
