**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Carry out food hygiene and health & safety inspections and record audits at clients’ premises.
- Produce reports on findings and recommendations for the clients based on these audits and inspections.
- Conduct training sessions on food safety topics for staff members, including managers, chefs, waiters or waitresses, dishwashers, kitchen, and dining area staff.
- Develop plans for food safety management procedures
- Provide on-going advice and support to clients.
- Answer calls, inquiries, and concerns promptly to assist clients with their pre-audit and post-audit reviews.
- Conduct new client set up visits.
- Manage company and client expectations.
- Build trust and long-term relationships with clients.
- Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty.
- Cultivate positive interactions and relationships with sales representatives, team leaders and managers, and executives to evaluate food safety strategy and results.
- Research the market and industry trends.
- Research food safety topics to identify emerging issues and create new protocols for safe food handling practices.
- Attend meetings, and industry networking events.

**Qualifications**
- Must have relevant food safety knowledge and experience.
- Able to create tailored food safety procedures, documentation/checklists, risk assessments and other applicable food safety program documents.
- Able to train and educate clients.
- Able to work independently and act decisively within the boundaries of the position.
- Able to maintain a positive attitude, create and maintain effective working relationships.

**General Terms and Conditions**
- Abide by employee confidentiality agreement/ non-disclosure agreement.
- The position allows the employee to work from home unless on-site audits, training and consultation are required by clients.
- The position is part-time; employee required to work 20-25 hours per week; some flexibility is expected as to what constitutes the working week and hours to meet operational requirements.

Overview:

We are seeking to hire a QC Inspector for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role; GCC experience is preferred.

Fluency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement the client’s management system relevant to your function.
  2. Ensure safety for yourself and others, actively participating in all safety matters during construction.
  3. Prevent environmental pollution related to the project.
  4. Coordinate inspection and testing requirements on behalf of the client.
  5. Familiarize yourself with project and discipline-specific inspection documentation to understand contract requirements.
  6. Be acquainted with international codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., QCS, ACI, AISC).
  7. Apply quality inspection procedures on construction activities, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  8. Ensure inspection, testing, surveillance, and survey documentation meets the Project Quality Plan, ITPs, and project requirements.
  9. Complete forms and prepare reports on inspections and tests for record-keeping.
  10. Communicate effectively with contractors, third parties, and end users.
  11. Verify calibration records of measurement and testing equipment.
  12. Assist in developing quality documentation such as method statements, work procedures, and inspection/test plans.
  13. Help identify problems and non-conformances, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
  14. Liaise with Field Supervisors and Contractors to coordinate construction testing.
  15. Assist Quality Engineers in inspecting and reviewing quality documents related to various construction activities.
  16. Monitor the implementation of quality procedures and QA/QC activities.
  17. Ensure all civil activities adhere to project requirements, with proper testing and documentation.
  18. Witness site and laboratory tests related to civil works.
  19. Check materials and equipment against specifications and certificates.
  20. Reject non-compliant materials and conduct random dimensional checks.
  21. Follow up on corrective actions for non-conformances.
  22. Monitor trends in non-compliance and provide feedback on contractor performance.
  23. Initiate surveillance and NCRs for approval.

Requirements:

  1. Civil, Structural, or Architecture degree/diploma with experience in quality control in multidisciplinary construction environments.
  2. Preferably with formal QC training and membership in recognized professional bodies.
  3. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role; GCC experience is desirable.
  4. Strong knowledge of QC practices and testing related to Oil & Gas, Tank Farms, Pipelines, or Petrochemical projects.
  5. Ability to work effectively with contractors and colleagues in multicultural settings.

Primary Functions
  • Supervise Quality Control activities to determine product conformity to customer specification through effective inspection and test in accordance with the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan. Identify non conformity and take appropriate action to control / prevent them. Conduct audits as applicable to verify the product is in compliance with project requirements and procedures.
  • Liaise with Production Supervisor, QC Inspectors, NDT & Certification Supervisor, Project Engineers, Principal Quality Operations Specialist, Certifying Authority, & Customer representative.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Direct, Supervise and Participate in inspection activities to assure product quality.
  • Follow quality planning for the project to assure compliance through proactive measure. Consults with the Manager Assurance and Principal Quality Ops Specialist (CQM) concerning non-conforming products and respective corrective & prevention plan.
  • Initiate and involve for evaluation for non-conforming products and processes when encountered.
  • Involve in preparation of project specific procedure and plans and conduct periodic walkthrough and Perform readiness review as per the readiness review plan
  • Assess the manpower requirement during project execution as per schedule and the progress.
  • Appraise product quality in accordance with the Project Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan and determine conformity and non-conformity.
  • All inspection results need to be documented and if nonconformity exists required documentation shall be raised to establish corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide interpretation of applicable code specifications and customer requirements. Any deviation deemed necessary to be raised with Manager Assurance and Principal Quality Ops Specialist (CQM) to address it through approved change management process such as TQ, Concession request, Waivers etc.
  • Verify Quality inspectors’ effectiveness of their ability, job knowledge, punctuality and generation of inspection report through periodic competency assessment.
  • Proactive approach in prevention of a nonconformance by interface with Field Engineers and customer representative on board in conjunction with Manager Assurance / Principal Quality Ops Specialist (CQM).
  • Conduct internal and external audits as applicable to assess the effectiveness of Quality System outlined in Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan.
  • Oversee the as-built certification as it is progressed through work approval packages and monitor progress/status of the Mechanical completion.
Other Expectations
  • Conduct project scope of work awareness.
  • Conduct readiness reviews.
  • Coordination with COMPANY Representatives for any technical concerns.
  • Support to review Site & Technical Queries as per the Quality requirements
Education Qualification and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical (3 years).
  • AWS or CSWIP Qualification.
  • Internal / External Auditor Qualification.

Experience:

  • 8+ years Quality control or related experience in Welding Inspection.
  • 3+ years directly relating to supervision.
