**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and manage the bar budget, tracking financial performance and preparing regular reports for management and stakeholders.
- Lead the collaborative development of the bar menu with the Head Chef, offering a diverse range of beverages including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and incorporating food and beverage pairing options to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Stay updated on beverage industry trends and make recommendations for updates to the bar menu, including seasonal offerings.
- Ensure efficient management of bar operations, covering staff scheduling, inventory control, and customer service, while prioritizing waste reduction for cost control and maintaining cleanliness and organization standards.
- Lead and supervise a team of bartenders and bar staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional service standards.
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of bar equipment, ensuring optimal functionality to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and beverages for our bar offerings, ensuring adherence to budget constraints while upholding quality standards.
- Develop strategies to maximize sales and profitability, such as promotions and upselling techniques.
- Work with the General Manager in creating and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures concerning bar operations, including responsible alcohol service.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with HR in recruitment efforts to ensure the bar team is appropriately staffed with skilled professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to alcohol service, health, safety, and sanitation.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints related to bar operations and services.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure seamless integration of beverage offerings, and collaborate on special events and promotions.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment.
- Culinary, hospitality, mixology, bartending, or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of various beverages, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. Demonstrate proficiency in mixology, spirits, wines, and craft beer, coupled with a keen interest in staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to alcohol service, health, safety, and sanitation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.

Our core work is due diligence, assessing a target company’s finances and business projections, identifying opportunities, risks, sensitivities, and potential mitigations, and reporting on these to our clients, their banks, investors, and other parties.
The opportunity
You will analyse the financial and operational results of companies targeted for sale by reviewing financial information and participating in interviews with management. You'll work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress. You'll also help to create a positive learning culture for other team members and support their development. As part of your role in the wider team, you’ll have a role to play in other team initiatives – for example, account management and recruitment.
Your key responsibilities
As a manager within the Transaction Support team, you will manage the project teams and work closely with all members as well as forming strong internal links within transaction support and other departments in EY. You will understand the key business drivers, co-developing our approach with the client, agreeing value measurements with the client, providing value to the client through insights, factual conclusions, and advice. You will plan, prepare, and review deliverables in various forms including Excel data books, written reports, presentations, and discussions with the client. You will understand the capabilities of the firm and look for opportunities to sell additional services to our clients. You will play a key role in business plan initiatives (e.g. key accounts, recruitment, and client service framework). You will take the responsibility for your own learning and development, provide coaching to others, and participate in upward feedback.
Desired candidate profile
Individuals with strong analytical skills will flourish in this environment, as you will regularly assist in researching technical accounting issues to evaluate implications on transaction valuation and structuring and prepare analyses of financial information to assess trends and fluctuations. Good communication skills will also be a key attribute for success within this role as you will be required to assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Transaction Support or due diligence
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualified
- Ability to analyse financial and non-financial information to formulate views and conclusions.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and report writing skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
Ideally, you will also have
- Transactions / auditing experience
- Client facing experience from a professional services background
