Job Description
As a Host / Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. You will manage guest reservations, seating arrangements, and ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Reception:
Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Assist guests with reservations, provide accurate wait times, and manage the seating process efficiently.
Seating Management:
Coordinate seating arrangements based on guest preferences, restaurant capacity, and reservation schedules.
Ensure guests are seated promptly and that tables are prepared and ready for their arrival.
Reservation Handling:
Manage and update the reservation system, including phone, online, and walk-in bookings.
Handle special requests, such as seating preferences and dietary restrictions, ensuring all guest needs are met.
Customer Service:
Provide information about the restaurant, menu options, and special promotions to guests.
Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
Operational Support:
Assist with daily operational tasks, including maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Guest Experience Enhancement:
Engage with guests to gather feedback and relay any relevant information to management.
- Monitor guest flow and adjust seating plans as needed to optimize the dining experience.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food & beverage industry is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills are an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
