ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Academic Manager of Foundation Studies, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of a broad range of preparatory courses within the Foundation Program Unit.
The successful candidate will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment. They will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans. They will also coordinate, manage, and control projects within the program area, as well as participate, lead, and organize student and community-facing events. All employees are expected to contribute to professional and community life within the university and beyond.
QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements Faculty members will be placed in the appropriate rank based on their education and experience. The broad criteria are provided below.
Education
A master's degree in TEFL or a related- program of study from an internationally recognized university with undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a post-secondary, adult training, or industry training environment, along with preferably 3 years of employment experience as a practitioner/professional within the relevant discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in mathematics and/or biological sciences
- Professional Certification such as CELTA, DELTA, Trinity CertTESOL
