Main Duties
- Ensures that all activities adhere to and support the Fairmont & Raffles hotel Doha Quality Management System.
- Security Officer should have the knowledge of Fairmont & Raffles hotel Doha Management System, Company’s Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Hallmarks and has to follow it
- Is responsible for reporting any incidents or issues that can affect fire, life and safety, or security of the Fairmont & Raffles guests, staff or company property
- Is familiar with all procedures related to fire prevention and evacuation
- Whilst on duty at the Security office, is responsible for the maintenance of files, key register, issue and safe custody of keys and cleanliness of the Security office.
- Carry out random staff checks to prevent resort property being removed without a proper “Property Removal Form”.
- Carry out regular and random checks and patrolling of the hotel front of house and back of houses and outdoors area.
- Receiving, collecting and releasing log in Lost & Found to guest and employees.
- Logging Found items, arranging Lost & Found store properly.
- Opening guest room safe box
- Writing incident report.
- Monitoring CCTV.
- Whilst on duty at the hotel, is responsible for preventing unauthorized visitors going to the guest rooms. Directing the guests to the outlets and interaction and other facilities with the guest’s requirements. Also responsible for controlling the cars traffic movements.
- Whilst on duty, Security officer will check, note and report discrepancies of firefighting equipment, water leaks, and any other health and safety issues. Any maintenance requirements are then passed over the Technical Services, who is responsible for the maintenance of the Fire Fighting Equipment.
- Is familiar with all procedures related to fire prevention and evacuation and to ensure prompt decision making with regards to the safety and security of guests and staff.

**What will I be doing?**

As a Security Officer, you are responsible for monitoring and controlling staff entrances, patrolling on a regular basis, and managing undesirable behaviour to deliver a safe Guest and Member experience. Job Description

Primary responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing Information Security activities.

Enforce and monitor the implementation and compliance with IT Information Security Policy.

Develop and manage the implementation of Information Security Policies and Procedures.

Ensure Risk Assessments are conducted on all information systems such as people, process, technology, and information processing facilities.

Ensure implementation of all Information Security controls, as set forth in the Risk Treatment Plan, to ensure adequate security for the respective system.

Conduct Information Security communications and outreach by leveraging the Information Security Management System (ISMS) committee.

Establish appropriate measures to assess operational capabilities and determine compliance and effectiveness levels with Information Security Policy.

Supervise other related assurance functions, as necessary.

Ensure the compliance of Information Security Policies in the organization.

Develop and ensure implementation of Information Security procedures.

Develop and ensure implementation of incident handling and reporting.

Follow-up, escalate, and report the resolution of Information Security issues identified during security assessments, penetration tests, and audits.

Develop, implement, and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures and infrastructure in relation to the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) / IT Service Contingency Plan.

Conduct and coordinate Information Security awareness and orientation programs.

Responsible for conducting Committee meetings.

Security Incident Management

Establish a formal procedure for internally reporting and tracking security incidents. Ensure incident response and escalation procedures are followed, and inform all employees, contractors, and third-party users of their responsibility to report security incidents.

Incident Handling :

Participate and / or oversee the investigation and management of information security events and policy violations and track them to conclusion.

Incident Notification and Reporting :

Follow policy for the notification and reporting of incidents immediately upon discovery.

Corrective / Preventive Actions :

Develop and document corrective action plans and implement preventive actions to mitigate recurrence.

Analyze a security incident to detect an underlying problem that exists or is likely to exist.

Categorize and prioritize the problem based on the frequency, severity, and impact of the incident.

Investigate and diagnose the root cause of the problem.

Test and apply temporary workarounds.

Document the known error record.

Create a formal process to address risk through the coordination and control of activities regarding each risk.

Conduct formal vulnerability assessments of the environment on a regular basis.

Create a formal process to mitigate vulnerabilities and more.

Qualifications

Experience

8+ years in IT work experience

5+ years in a similar role

Education

Bachelor of Engineering

Or Bachelor of IT

Or Bachelor of Computer Science

Certifications

CRISC - Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control

Or ISO / IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor

Or CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional

Required Skillset

Expertise in implementation of security frameworks such as NIST , ISO / IEC 27001 , and other local regulations and frameworks.

Expertise in compliance requirements like GDPR , HIPAA , PCI DSS , SOX , and other relevant laws and regulations.

Expertise in conducting risk assessments , identifying security risks, evaluating impact, and implementing mitigation strategies.

Expertise in developing policies , procedures , and processes .

Expertise in creating and managing security awareness and training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity threats and best practices.

ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Qatar. As a IT Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling the premises, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to incidents promptly.

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activities.
  • Good knowledge SIEM, SOAR, FW, Sandboxing, VPNs, and enterprise level cyber security products.
  • Ability to analyze, triage and remediate security incidents and strong understanding of security incident management, malware management processes.
  • Constantly monitor data flow and network flow (internally and externally), analyze the traffic and report any suspicious activity.
  • Understanding on the latest current IT/OT cyber security intrusions, attacks, hacking techniques, vulnerability disclosures, data breach incidents and security analysis techniques is a big plus.
  • Good understanding on cloud, client-server applications, multi-tier web applications, relational databases and any services.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, WANs, LANs, and commonly used Internet protocols and OT segmentations.
  • Knowledge on IT/OT security best practices and concepts Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing.
  • Assist with deploying security tools and operating these tools.
  • Managing and updating current security tools and measures.
  • Good understanding of Security frameworks and techniques specially Qatar's approved frameworks.
  • Provide all necessary consultations for application developers, network engineers, and other personnel.
  • To enforce the implementation of security and access policy adopted by Organization.
  • To monitor and report any misuse or abuse of access granted to user.
  • Report any vulnerabilities and assure that they are mitigated by the related section.
Required Profile

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in security and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's in information Security, computer science , or computer engineer or a related field.
  • Min of 8 years of experience in cyber security.
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Information Security certifications are mandatory.
