Responsibilities

The successful candidate(s) will provide civil / structural engineering and construction project monitoring services; to augment in-house capabilities for these service areas for the AFCENT TSG. The Civil / Structural Engineering shall support, as needed, cradle-to-grave functions for base engineering requirements, requirements assessment, planning, project development, construction monitoring, and project closeout. • Designing structures such as bridges, roads, and buildings.
• Analyzing loads and stresses on structures.
• Preparing cost estimates for construction projects.
• Supervising construction work on site and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Attending meetings with clients or contractors.
• Creating reports on project status.
• Investigating problems at construction sites and developing technical solutions.
• Ensuring safety and budget adherence.
• Participating in research related to civil engineering.
• Providing technical advice as needed.
• Performing other tasks as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Experience with AutoCAD software.
• Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction management software like Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Relevant work experience is preferred but not required.
