About the role

To support the Line Manager in the development of new DQ (Discover Qatar) products, focusing predominantly on the development of DQ owned (created) products. Take responsibility for all aspects of product design, pricing and commercialization including staff training, SOPs (with operations team) and enhancements.

Key Accountabilities include:

Operational

  • Support the Line Manager and give output and new innovative ideas to develop excursion and tour packages in and around Qatar.
  • Identify and create products and services which match the marketing strategy, target customer groups and the requirements from the key markets of Qatar Airways network.
  • Review current products by analyzing and making recommendations based on current needs and future requirements, by reviewing product specifications, requirements and appraising new product ideas and/or product or changes.
  • Develop, execute, and manage project plans for the development of new tours and excursions in a timely and cost efficient manner. Inspect and take stock of all tourist related sites, monuments, museums, and other attractions. Monitor customer and consultant feedback on the tours and service. Ensure correct loading and content is hosted within the DO systems.
  • Develops DQ product portfolio addressing the customer and new channel needs in line with the unit's business plan. Manages project budgets, prepares financial analysis reports for higher management review.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing and anticipating product cost.
  • Provide evaluation in the expertise of:
    • Key development of projects by providing feedback / suggestions / advice on design and module changes with consultations between team members and stakeholders.
  • Testing products and services, measuring the levels of acceptance and success rates with stringent quality control.
  • Initiate a process of continuous improvement to ensure that products are continuously refreshed and improved to better meet customer need and that DQ products are in line with market trends.
  • Inspect competitors' products by researching and overseeing product development based on industry best practice.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed bv the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

About you

Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualification of bachelor's degree or equivalent is essential
  • 7+ years of job-related experience.
  • Product development, negotiation and contracting experience at a managerial level in large wholesale tour operations with successful track record in delivering wholesale tour programs.
  • Excellent negotiation and contracting skills.
  • Excellent understanding of all aspects of international tour operations.
  • Comprehensive regional/ product knowledge of Qatar and GCC in particular.
  • Sound understanding of margins and profits for a wholesale tour operation.
  • High degree of computer literacy.
  • An understanding of the international Tour Operator model, including online distribution.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.

About the Role As the

Project Manager

within the Strategy Team, you will play a critical role in driving the execution of strategic initiatives across technology, product innovation, and service enhancement. You will ensure alignment between strategic vision and delivery, with a strong focus on governance, planning, and cross-functional coordination. You will bring deep program management expertise, understand both physical and digital ecosystems, and navigate complex stakeholder environments to support initiatives such as inflight entertainment, connected cabin experiences, food and beverage, and emerging service technologies.

Responsibilities

Support the implementation of governance frameworks for customer experience and product development initiatives, ensuring adherence to organisational standards, processes, and compliance requirements

Develop and manage integrated programme plans, timelines, and milestones across inflight experience domains (e.g. cabin interiors, IFE, connectivity, F&B, amenities, service).

Coordinate activities across product, design, technology, and operations teams and monitor dependencies and adjust schedules to mitigate risks and delays.

Track progress against strategic roadmaps and delivery targets and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility to leadership and stakeholders.

Analyse programme performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Identify, assess, and monitor risks across programmes and facilitate risk mitigation planning and issue resolution ensuring escalation of critical risks to leadership with recommended actions.

Support resource planning and allocation across concurrent initiatives by monitoring capacity to ensure efficient delivery and coordinate with HR and functional leads for staffing needs.

Maintain comprehensive records of programme decisions, actions, and outcomes and develop reporting templates to support transparency and accountability ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity across programme phases.

Act as a point of contact for programme-related communications and updates and prepare summary reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and manage stakeholder expectations

Align programme execution with strategic goals of the Product Development Division, supporting feasibility assessments for new concepts and technologies and enable delivery of innovation initiatives through structured programme support.

Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications About you

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 7+ years of experience in program or project management, ideally within strategy, innovation, or technology environments.

Proficiency in programme planning, milestone tracking, and resource coordination.

Experience managing cross-functional delivery across design, product, technology, and operations.

Familiarity with stage-gate, agile, or hybrid delivery models.

Skilled in developing dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries.

Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Excel, or Smartsheet for tracking programme health.

Ability to interpret programme data and communicate performance trends to leadership.

About the role

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to be part of our Product Development & Design Division as IFE Entertainment Development Manager in Doha. As the IFE Entertainment Development Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the development and delivery of engaging in-flight entertainment experiences. Working under the guidance of senior leadership, you will execute the in-flight entertainment strategy and contribute towards maintaining a diverse and appealing content offering. You will lead the selection and acquisition of content and support managing relationships with content providers, streaming platforms, production companies, and technology vendors to enrich the entertainment portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with Qatar Airways' brand and target audience demographics. This includes identifying trends, analyzing competitor offerings, and forecasting future content needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with content providers, studios, distributors, and licensing agencies to secure high-quality and diverse entertainment options.
  • Lead in the curation, selection and acquisition of entertainment content, ensuring they meet standards of quality, diversity, and relevance. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously refresh and expand the content library.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate content delivery systems seamlessly into the inflight entertainment platform. Leverage technology solutions to enhance the passenger experience and streamline content management processes.
  • Utilize data analytics and passenger feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of content offerings. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize viewer engagement, satisfaction, and revenue generation.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, copyright laws, and industry regulations governing the distribution of entertainment content. Stay informed about changes in regulations and proactively address any compliance issues.
  • Perform other department-related duties as directed by the Line Manager or Head of Department.
About you
  • High School, Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 9+ years of experience in inflight entertainment content and media integration systems.
  • Financial understanding of content licensing pricing structure and operational costs.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to develop and execute long-term content strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with digital content delivery systems, inflight entertainment platforms, and related technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic.
  • Strong written reporting, attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and visualization tools such as Power BI, or any related software.
