To perform due diligence tasks that support deal structuring and execution. To prepare materials for management in support of project approval and funding and manage internal and external transaction reports.
Key Result Areas:
- Search and evaluate potential investment and co-investment opportunities, create financial models, and communicate key variables and risks with the team.
- Serve as a primary lead in the investment process, including due diligence efforts in collecting and analyzing data to identify key risk areas in potential investment deals.
- Lead and manage the Growth team, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and providing ongoing coaching and development.
- Lead on the Integration of selected portfolio businesses with other QSTP programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, government entities, research institutions, and potential tenants.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's offerings and services to effectively communicate their benefits to potential tenants and partners.
- Oversee, train growth team, and build working groups in coordination with other QSTP departments to attract national and international companies to establish their entities in QSTP for potential future investment purposes.
- Collaborate with the analysts' team to manage the performance of portfolio companies.
- Actively participate in internal investment committee discussions.
- Establish and deepen relationships with venture capital/private equity funds, technology firms, accelerators, incubators, and other intermediaries.
- Ensure day-to-day operations are compliant, including fund management and stakeholder relations management.
- Work with portfolio companies to support, assist, and advise as needed including potential board seats.
- Identify potential investor networks and corporate/strategic investors within target industry verticals with the capability to co-invest.
- Contribute to the successful planning, execution, and completion of cross-functional projects as assigned by QSTP senior management by actively engaging with team members across departments, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and resource management. Apply innovative problem-solving methods to address challenges, continuously improving project processes while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain regular communication with both line and project managers to provide timely updates on project progress and outcomes, and continuously enhance personal skills and knowledge to drive the success of these initiatives.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level, or a master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience. CFA Level II certification is required. Experience in the venture capital industry, startup experience, and strong understanding of the venture investment cycle are essential. Knowledge in technology fields, startup assessment, and investment readiness principles is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are required. Proficiency in MS Office is expected. Arabic language skills are an advantage.
