What You’ll Do:

As part of AcuTech’s Qatar team, you will work directly with clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management. What’s Required:

  • Senior Consultants: 10-15+ years’ experience required; ability to develop and lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, develop business and utilize strong project and people management skills.
  • Consultants: 5-10+ years’ experience; self-motivated, independent, organized, able work effectively under direction of senior engineers, handle multiple work assignments and projects and seek professional growth and development.
  • All Roles:
  • BE/BTech/BS/ME/MTech/MS in related engineering field (chemical, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, safety).
  • Relevant experience in process safety management, process or engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment.
  • Ability to develop consulting business, including developing proposals and making presentations.
  • Self-motivated, independent, strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, client service and commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills and a consultative approach in supporting customer projects.

What’s Preferred:

  • Experience in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programs.
  • Experience in developing, writing, and implementing PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, standard operating procedures.
  • Experience developing and evaluating/auditing PSM management systems and advising management at all levels of the organization to effect positive change to operational excellence.
  • Experience and expertise in PSM Technical Services such as:
  • Process hazard analyses (PHA), and risk assessments, or related studies, such as Design Review, HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, ENVID, SIMOPS, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Bowtie Analysis, ALARP Demonstration.
  • Safety Instrumented Systems services such as:
  • Safety integrity level (SIL) assessment based on recognized knowledge of IEC61511 and related standards.
  • Experience with Quantitative Risk Assessment Studies such as:
  • QRA, and Occupied Building Risk Assessment.
  • Toxic Gas Risk Assessment.
  • Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment.
  • EERA, ESSA.
  • 3-D F&G Mapping.
  • Safety Critical Equipment Identification and Performance Standards Development.
  • Proficiency in Qatar Energy MAHM Framework, Saudi ARAMCO Standards is an advantage.
  • Experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
