**What will I be doing?**
As an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air conditioning) Technician, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: - Reports to the Director of Engineering regarding daily work progress and trouble report completion.
- Attains all HVAC trouble reports on daily basis. Guest room trouble is given priority
- Works closely with peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance program
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures and instructions
- Carries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Able to read Building, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical drawings
- Able to fault find and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration and building control systems. Good electrical knowledge
- Knowledge of BMS systems. - Experience of reciprocating Chillers and Air handling plant and cold rooms
- Familiar with planned Preventive Maintenance and Safety programmes
- Flexible and team player - able to work on own initiative
- Good understanding of water treatment techniques and able to handle chemicals
- Makes periodic inspection tours to check all refrigeration equipment functioning properly
- Carries out guest room maintenance according to schedule programme
- Works closely with electrician to carry out electrical work when required, including functions and parties
- Daily refrigeration log sheet to be filled and temperature to be recorded

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an experienced Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems Mechanic to perform various technical and non-technical activities in the support of facilities maintenance overseas in Qatar. Equipment ranges from residential to industrial and commercial equipment.

- Inspections, maintains, repairs and installs HVAC equipment (chillers, air handling units, VAV Boxes, variable frequency drives, fan coil units, DX systems, duct, filters etc.) and maintains available back-up assets on hand to ensure operational levels.

Accountabilities
Assist HVAC senior service technician in equipment installation, maintenance and repairs Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions
Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with Primepower servicing schedules and procedures Ensure all equipment is prepared for hire in compliance with Primepower ‘Green Card’ procedure Ensure all work performed reports are approved by client (on site) and are legibly produced Ensure immediate response and minimal disruption to client’s requirements Ensure good housekeeping of work area and service vehicle Maintain a minimum spares level in service vehicle as per procedures Effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime and unnecessary repair costs Customer satisfaction externally & internally Compliance to QHSE & ISO Standards and Procedures Compliance with 24 hour call – out policy Any other duties considered essential for effective operations and service Primepower places a strong emphasis on health, operational safety and environmental protection. Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience relevant role or related field. Experience with HVAC controllers from York, Trane, and Carrier, including training certificates for courses attended in programming. Dealer experience (York, Trane, Carrier). Must hold an official HVAC trade qualification from a recognized organization. Previous experience with Chiller plant District cooling. Previous experience in the rental industry. Must possess experience in repairing piston compressors and screw compressors.

Job Description
- Perform Preventive, Corrective, Predictive and Breakdown maintenances and rectification to all the mechanical systems and equipment inside the plants, buildings and HEX’s.
- Check and maintain the existing mechanical installations and provide the complete installation of new systems programme, whenever required. Monitor and update the chillers and HVAC system spare parts.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, diagnose and overhaul the mechanical side of the Centrifugal Chillers, FCUs, AHU’s, FAHU’s, Exhaust fans, Ventilation systems, Pressurization Fans, Piping Installations, Filters, Strainers, Valves, PHE and other Mechanical Systems.
- Supervise and execute the layouts and technical drawings of the HVAC layouts and other mechanical diagrams
- Generate technical layouts and technical reports
