YOUR TASKS:
- Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism, taking into account the consideration that all DHL customers have an express requirement and are looking for instant and immediate action.
- Follow Gateway clearance procedures as outlined in the manual to comply with the GSOP procedures and safe working practices.
- Provide daily updates on clearance status of all shipments held in customs for clearance on ACA
- Daily check points to be created for network visibility using appropriate exception codes.
- Track and trace shipments in adherence to DHL’s network trace standards and investigate thoroughly undelivered, returned, delayed, lost, damaged and held shipments. Ensure that the customer is fully updated on any query or issue within the agreed time
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all departments, DHL network, products and services so that customers are provided with accurate information on transit times, clearance delays, custom paperwork requirements, packing, accounting and sales queries with confidence at all times.
- Highlight any recurring problems that are manifested through traces and then direct the information accordingly so that corrective actions can be taken promptly.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
- Sound educational back ground with knowledge of the Service Industry, an added advantage
- Good oral and written communication skills - English & Arabic preferable
- Tolerance for stress in a fast paced working environment.
- Adheres to policies and procedures
- Possesses good relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively contribute as a team member as part of a busy team

We are now looking for a Trade Compliance Operations Specialist to eliminate Trade Compliance the company Ericsson’s business operations, to define the Trade Compliance requirements on business and operational models, to ensure Trade Compliance in sale, export and transfer of HW, SW, services and technology, to advise and guide Business Areas and Market Areas in Trade Compliance matters and to be accountable for Trade Compliance operations.
Your main role will be to support Ericsson’s business in Market Area Middle East and Africa in matters related to trade compliance, supporting business stakeholders develop and maintain customs processes and activities within Ericsson, and be part of Ericsson Trade Compliance Global Operations Customs Governance team.
**What you will do**
- Ensure a Trade Compliant Cross Border Transfers for Ericsson (including customs management, Customs Broker governance, Interface authorities, import/export coordination and support)
- Ensure trade compliance in Ericsson, including license management and contract compliance.
- Ensure Trade Compliance in all applicable process areas in EBP (e.g. Service Delivery, Sales, Sourcing, Supply)
- Provide input for external approvals.
- Exercise trade compliance expertise to define which authorizations are required for different types of contracts, agreements, financial set-ups, and contractual terms and conditions.
- Provide Trade Compliance Operations expert advice on Contracts, Free Trade Agreements and supply chain.
- Ensure Trade Compliance in the Process area.
- Ensure compliant cross-border transfers.
**You will bring**
- Bachelor’s in business administration, Supply, Finance and/or Tax Law or equivalent education from a Customs authority
- Background in the area of Customs Authority, Contract Management (terms and conditions), Product portfolio, Supply chain management or Sourcing agreements (terms and conditions)
- Work experience in the area of Customs, and/or Import and Export Control
- Project Management experience
- Customs regulation, international transportation, financial knowledge, contracts, T&C, Free Trade Agreement knowledge, Incoterms, supply management experience
- Local Laws & Regulations Knowledge
- Coping with Pressures & Setbacks skills
- Deciding & Initiating Action skills
