Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The tasks performed shall include but not be limited to minor plumbing, carpentry, sheet metal, welding, locksmithing, and minor movement and reconfiguration of furniture in support of a Government customer at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

Essential Job Duties

Perform repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance on customer facilities. Remodel, retrofit, and repair interior and exterior structures made of wood, light gauge metal, drywall, or plaster, and the associated plumbing systems. Perform troubleshooting and user-level preventive maintenance checks on plumbing systems and ensure higher-level preventive maintenance inspections are being conducted. Provide minor repairs to plumbing systems (water, sewage, and wastewater), old piping, clogged fixtures, leaky faucets, and equipment; check old pipes for fit, soundness, and operation; and maintain available back-up assets on hand to ensure operational levels. Conduct coordination with other facility maintenance tradesmen and civil engineering authorities. Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect related work by contractors. Plan, install, repair, alter, and/or replace furnishings, fixtures, equipment, appliances, and finishes to include doors, flooring, ceilings, and cabinets as necessary. This includes inspection, maintenance, repair or improvement of roofing components, windows, exterior drainage.

Minimum Requirements

Active in Scope TS/SCI security clearance. Five years of relevant facility maintenance experience. Experience with maintenance of residential and commercial structural, plumbing, locksmith, fencing, gating, furnishings or other common fixtures and systems. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction and facilities trades.

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of the Air Force or Army culture, language and expectations for mission success. Knowledge of welding and sheet metal fabrication for minor maintenance and repair of flashing, ducting, fencing, turnstiles, signage, and other structural components.

Work Environment

Full-time position with standard working hours; may require occasional evening or weekend work. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions. Exposure to potentially hazardous materials and environments; appropriate safety measures must be followed.

Job Description

• Responsible for general maintenance of facility, furnishings, and equipment in guidance of Section Manager Maintenance
• Carry out repairs and maintenance work as requested by the Maintenance Manager, ensuring that work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Take receipt of deliveries and to store items or goods pertaining to maintenance and keep Track of Maintenance Supply Inventory
• Report all potential accidents and make sure that any accidents are recorded.
• Respond promptly to all maintenance call; and other tasks such as charging light bulbs, unclogging drains etc.

About The Role

This position is for a Field Technician in Aftermarket and Service, reporting to the Service Supervisor. Installs, tests, services, and repairs equipment to conform with company operating specifications and customer requirements. Performs tasks assigned by the direct supervisor, including maintenance contracts, repairs, and some warranty-related jobs. Requires moderate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks as instructed by the Service Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives daily job schedules from the concerned Service Supervisor and executes accordingly in a timely manner
• Executes and completes the job as per the budgeted man-hour
• Use SYCLO device and generate/deliver time confirmations, job cards and EH&S site surveys
• Meets assigned SOIP targets (revenue, utilization, GM, call back rate, EH&S, and MFA)
• Executes assigned jobs
• Assists Senior Technicians on jobs as required
• Reports escalated problems and spare parts requirements to Supervisor for necessary arrangements
• Installs spare parts when attended
• Attends EH&S trainings and follows guidelines
• Uses the right tools & PPE in the appropriate way; inspects and informs Supervisors
• Maintains site housekeeping post work completion
