Job Purpose
Responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for wooden joinery, furniture, doors, cabinets, and other woodworks, ensuring accuracy, compliance with design specifications, and adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Drawing Preparation
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for wooden works such as doors, wardrobes, kitchens, panels, furniture, and decorative joinery.
Convert architectural and design concepts into shop drawings for production.
Create assembly drawings, cutting lists, and fabrication details.
Prepare as-built drawings after project completion.
Coordination
Coordinate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and production teams.
Ensure drawings meet project specifications and client requirements.
Review and revise drawings based on consultant/client comments.
Technical Compliance
Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and company guidelines.
Prepare detailed joinery sections, hardware schedules, and material specifications.
Provide accurate dimensions and details for production and installation.
Documentation
Maintain drawing records, revisions, and transmittals.
Prepare cutting sheets, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and material take-offs from drawings.
Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
Minimum 5 years' experience in joinery/wooden industry drafting.
Strong knowledge of wood materials, joinery methods, and finishes.
Ability to read and interpret architectural/structural drawings.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
Reporting To
Design Manager / Project Engineer / Production Manager (depending on company structure).
