Role Purpose :
Provide technical leadership on Infrastructure projects. Actively participate in client relationship management, business development, development of proposals, project delivery, reports and technical analysis. Show leadership in achieving on time and on budget project completion as well as mentoring and developing other team members.
Critical relationships
The role reports to the Design Services Business Group Leader, to provide technical leadership across Infrastructure projects. The role will also be responsible in maintaining key client relationships, secure project opportunities and deliver successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities : Clients
- Work closely with clients to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Foster and maintain relationships with existing internal and external clients.
- Lead and undertake relationship building and work winning with clients, targeting new clients and a minimum revenue of QAR 5mn.
- Monitor the technically and commercially sound delivery of projects and promote client satisfaction.
- Develop strategies for targeting market sectors, individual clients and specific projects.
- Contribute to GHD’s corporate profile development in the Business Group’s Market Sector(s).
People
- Develop and mentor infrastructure team
- Actively participate in on Infrastructure service line initiatives.
- Build effective relationships with Team Leaders, Business Group Managers, Client Relationship Managers, Market Leaders, Service Line Leaders and other key people.
Performance
- Provide technical leadership and provide innovative and robust solutions based on infrastructure expertise and experience.
- Winning and successful delivery of projects
- Lead infrastructure projects including across the region
- Implementation of the ME Water Road Map in relation to Qatar Region.
- Infrastructure technical reports and design documentations.
- Ensure accuracy in all project deliverables Specific skills & Knowledge.
- Proven track record of working with key clients especially Kahramaa and Ashghal and large infrastructure contractors.
- Proven track record of delivery of different technical projects in Qatar including master plans, operations plan, design, asset management covering water, wastewater and stormwater networks.
- Ability to establish a network of contacts of clients and working partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, cooperation with team members with sharing of information and knowledge.
- Commercially minded.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications / Skills
Strong technical capability across on Infrastructure projects.
- Extensive experience of design and execution phases.
- Strong knowledge of relevant, industry guidelines, Ashghal / Kahramaa standards and current industry practices.

- Ability to manage and coordinate interfaces with other disciplines.
- Demonstrated application of Safety in Design principles.
