Overview of the role

The Air-Conditioning Installation Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing the installation of various air-conditioning systems including Window, Split, Ducted, and VRF units. The role requires strong technical expertise, site management skills, and familiarity with the Qatar HVAC market.

What you will do: -

Description of Accountability:

• Conduct site inspections to determine cooling requirements and calculate AC tonnage.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings for installation planning.
• Supervise AC installation contractors to ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
• Bring new business / enquiries through existing customer contacts to secure basic monthly targets.
• Negotiate installation pricing and terms with contractors for project efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports related to installation activities and contractor performance.
• Evaluate quality and inspection reports for AC installations on a contractor-wise basis.
• Identify and implement revenue generation strategies within projects.
• Support additional revenue generation through direct AC sales to individual customers and new projects.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards during installation.
• Maintain effective communication with customers for project coordination and satisfaction.
• Stay informed about market trends and customer expectations in Qatar's air-conditioning sector.

The ideal candidate will oversee façade-related activities, ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards, and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage façade installation, repair, and maintenance activities on high-rise buildings.
• Review and interpret façade design drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality, safety, and design standards.
• Identify façade defects such as sealant failures, glass damages, and structural issues; recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for façade-related works and materials.
• Prepare and review method statements, work schedules, and inspection reports.
• Monitor and control project progress, ensuring timely completion within budget.
• Ensure safety compliance during façade maintenance works, including rope access and suspended platform operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in façade installation, inspection, and maintenance for high-rise buildings.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems (aluminum cladding, curtain walls, glass panels, ACP, sealants, etc.).
• Familiarity with international façade standards and local building codes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Senior / Junior Field Service Engineer (ABB Systems)

We are seeking talented Field Service Engineers with strong expertise in ABB 800xA and controllers (AC800M, AC800MHI, S Plus, Infi90) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform onsite service of low–medium complexity on 800xA Automation Systems for process automation control applications.

Troubleshoot equipment & process failures and recommend proactive solutions.

Implement cybersecurity solutions (hardening, antivirus, patch management, backup management).

Prepare project deliverables (FDS, BOL, GA drawings) ensuring quality standards.

Support hardware & application engineering, HMI engineering, library development, 3rd party communication, testing & commissioning.

Work with protocols: Profibus, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, GOOSE.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology.

3–10 years hands-on experience with ABB System 800xA and hardware

(mandatory).

Relevant certifications:

ABB product certifications, FSMS, TÜV.

Job Description

You'll need to be team oriented and flexible, with a really good approach to electronic repair and troubleshooting. You'll be cross-trained on our products and you'll be expected to follow complex schematics in isolating issues and in assembly.

You'll be resolving issues, troubleshooting, installing, servicing, and repairing equipment at customer sites. That includes working on some special high-visibility projects and following up with customers.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting daily service and repair needs and drive customer satisfaction
• Install, repair and maintain equipment in the field; providing customer training as required
• Document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work
• Reviews all logs for open issues and prepares formal reports to customers
• Assesses product and equipment performance and recommend modifications or improvements

Qualifications

Education/Training: Associates Degree or equivalent technical training. Electrical/Electronic Engineering related Degree. Computer literacy required, Experience with Mechanical, Electrical and advantage with IT/Networks experience.

Experience: Minimum of three years' overall relevant experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment. FSE's should have a minimum of two years field experience with Electro-mechanical systems and preferred knowledge in IT networks.
