Cross-Border Trade Intelligence Analyst
to support our research on strategic corridors, customs modernization, and institutional resilience. This role will work at the intersection of trade intelligence, policy frameworks, and regional logistics planning—helping us decode complex dynamics shaping the trade environment in the Middle East and Horn of Africa.
The ideal candidate is skilled in synthesizing technical information, monitoring evolving trade architecture, and building narratives that support reform-minded institutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor trade dynamics and logistics chokepoints affecting major cross-border corridors (e.g., GCC–Africa routes, Red Sea axis)
• Analyze the impact of customs protocols, harmonization efforts, and transport regulations across border crossings
• Compile strategic briefing notes on port privatization trends, intergovernmental trade cooperation, and new logistics hubs
• Support design of knowledge products such as resilience dashboards, policy snapshots, and reform trackers
• Coordinate interviews and feedback loops with institutional stakeholders (customs authorities, trade facilitation units, etc.)
• Assist in benchmarking national logistics policies against regional best practices
Qualifications
• Academic background in Trade Policy, International Relations, or Transport Economics
