- Identify key markets and develop a calendar of events, with promotional plans and product launch dates.
- Identify and contract tickets for Major Global sporting events and identify relevant source markets to evolve the sponsorships sport sector and work on organizing and delivering competitions and tournaments
- Ultimate goal to grow the sport unit and provide national directive and vision through providing guidance and support to successfully grow the commercial sport sector
- Recommend suitable products to packages with the relevant sporting event to create unique sport sales tactics and achieve a wide range of audience and agencies.
- Identify distribution channels for sales, and ensure license compliance with relevant governing bodies (e.g. Formula One).
- Pitch to National Governing Bodies (NGB) of Sports for events to be held in the State of Qatar in support of the Government's national agenda.
- Work closely with QT, QR and other entities to maximize the commercial success of each event sold.
- Work with SM DLM and SM QRH and VP Sponsorships to set KPl's and budgets for measuring commercial success.
- Responsible for creating packages that enable international and domestic access to sporting events in Qatar by working closely with the internal QR commercial teams and external parties; Discover Qatar, QRH and QT to maximize sales of sporting events held in Qatar and assets worldwide.
- Implement sponsorships and commercial event and promotions. Identify opportunities for support tournaments to be sponsored by Qatar Airways, boosting the initiative to promote the QR brands on a regional and global level and to ensure the support needed is delivered.
- Liaise with internal commercial and marketing teams to ensure “best practice principals” are developed, whilst producing materials and templates that can be used during the sporting events.
- Produce Operation Plans to create innovative ideas to ensure better sales sports packages are delivered and innovative ideas to develop excursions and sales packages which include sporting event tickets. Ensure that at every sporting event, the QR brand is showcased and positioned in the best possible light.
- Liaise with internal Qatar Airways teams, Event Management, Hotel venues, Logistic and Operational teams and Contractors, to create experiences that could be considered “best in class” across the airline and hospitality industry.
- Identifying sporting products that will serve the Qatar Sports marketing strategy by targeting customer groups and meeting the key markets’ requirements.
- Understand the current product offerings available in the market and recommend unique DQ products to be introduced into the sporting events held.
- Enhance the QR sponsorships sports products portfolio by presenting it through all tourism related sites, targeting sporting events and audience in line with the QR commercial business strategy plan.
