Job DescriptionThe Technician shall be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and in compliance with all company and client requirements. He shall perform the following responsibilities including but not limited to:
- To carry out the required repair and maintenance work of all inspection related equipment at base as well as at other locations as and when required as per instruction given.
- Carry day-to-day maintenance/repair and other related job.
- Clean the equipment daily & Keep track of all Company assets, inventory, tools and stocks.
- Co-ordinate with Field Inspection Supervisor/s and/or field Inspectors and ensure that all equipment are in good working condition.
- Ensure that all equipment and assets be properly inventoried and maintained in the best oilfield practice and manner.
- Ensure that QA/QC Policy/Procedures of the Company applicable to Inspection Services are adhered to.
- Maintain and up-date certificates of equipment tool boxes and vehicles issued by third parties in compliance with Company’s QA/QC Procedure.
- Ensure that all the equipment and tools are always calibrated in compliance with Company’s QA Procedures and hold always valid calibration certificates (In-house and/or external) as required.
- Plan and co-ordinate necessary preventive maintenance program of equipment and vehicles and up-keep of related documents in compliance with Service lines’ QA Procedure.
- Prepare trouble shooting guide, plan and implement in-house training on equipment operation, maintenance and calibration etc. for the employees especially ‘Trainee Inspectors’ on a regular basis.
- Perform daily maintenance of equipment prescribed in the maintenance manual and record these in the maintenance file.
- Perform maintenance prescribed in the maintenance manual and record in the maintenance file.
- Constantly teach, guide and monitor Inspection Personnel on equipment utilization and put forward suggestions/recommendations to maximize equipment performance and to improve quality of our services.
- Maintain all company equipment efficiently and in operational condition following the maintenance schedule and manual.
- Ensure that all equipment for the job is free of any damages/defects and is fully operational prior to any operations job. In the event of damages, a damage report shall be made
- Keep all equipment in operational condition at all times and make sure all certificates are valid
- Inspect all equipment arriving from locations after the operation and report any damage, missing parts, etc.
- Ensure that all expendables materials, supplies are not wasted and control the use of material, spare parts and consumables in an operational manner.
- Ensure that all documentation related to the job is filed properly and recorded.
- Update the Maintenance history with the attachment of Equipment in the Emm² System.
- Handling receipts of goods and notifying and sending shipping documents.
- Adhere to the company’s financial procedures and systems by reducing wastage of consumables/tools etc.
- Carry other duties and tasks as and when assigned by the Operations Support Lead.
