About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil QA/QC Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading construction company in Qatar. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and control processes across project sites. The role requires a strong background in ISO 9001 standards, QA/QC systems, and site inspection procedures.
The position involves direct coordination with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors, while ensuring compliance with all quality benchmarks and client requirements. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to lead, guide, and develop QA/QC site teams in a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor QA/QC plans as per contractual and ISO requirements.
- Prepare project-specific QA plans, ITPs, checklists, and review method statements and material submittals.
- Maintain calibration records of inspection and testing equipment.
- Conduct material inspections and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate procurement schedules with project managers and secure necessary approvals.
- Supervise, train, and mentor QA/QC site personnel.
- Liaise with subcontractors and clients for routine material testing and field inspections.
- Prepare daily site inspection reports and maintain approval records.
- Participate in QA/QC meetings, internal audits, and client certification audits.
- Support the QA/QC Manager with reporting, documentation, and job close-out procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Minimum 9–10 years of QA/QC experience in the construction/contracting sector, preferably in the GCC region.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and QA/QC systems.
- Experience in preparing ITPs, method statements, and other QA/QC documentation.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and mentor QA/QC site teams effectively.
- Preference for candidates who can join immediately.
