Job Purpose- Perform a range of standard medical laboratory tests, plan the maintenance of laboratory facilities and equipment, and coordinate activities related to calibration of technical equipment.
- Deals with standard medical laboratory tests, routine clinical cases, and problems that arise daily to uncover diseases.
- Operate complex electronic analytical equipment, computers, and precision instruments.
- Use technical judgment to ensure test validity including recollection and retesting samples that may be followed or contaminated.
- Plan day-to-day activities of the laboratory services, including program management, resources management, time allocation and scheduling, with the aim of reducing waste and optimizing the resources.
- Develop auditable and traceable quality standards and programs for laboratory operations.
- Ensure compliance of laboratory methodologies, protocols, and techniques with the developed quality standards in line with accredited standards, safety, and environmental regulations, and other applicable and standards.
- Perform quality control to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents, and standard solutions.
