Responsibilities

Your Commitment:

To support routine and specialized laboratory operations by performing sample preparation, testing, and analysis to ensure accurate and reliable results. Perform accurate and precise analyses for a wide range of applications. Ensure the functionality, proper maintenance, and calibration of all analytical lab equipment. Manage corrective actions for nonconforming equipment and instruments. Develop and validate analytical methods based on international standards (AOAC, EPA, ISO, ASTM, DIN). Demonstrate competence in performing chromatography, spectroscopy, and titrimetric methods. Display proficiency in various sample preparation techniques Ensure adherence to UDST lab protocol and safety regulations. Maintain lab records and documentation. Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and complete procurement processes. Reinforce good laboratory housekeeping practices. Contribute to the ordering of equipment and consumables.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from a recognized, accredited institution Training certificates on analytical instruments

Candidates with an MSc. in Analytical Chemistry from a recognized and accredited institution are preferred.

Experience

5+ technical experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a service ISO certified lab. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills Bilingual in English and Arabic is preferable

We are looking for **Laboratory Technician Dukhan (Onshore)**
- Collect representative samples such as gas, condensate, NGL, water crude oil, drilling fluids, cement from all field locations.
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory and onsite analysis of crude oil, water, gas, solid/deposits, drilling fluids and cement samples by using standard method and procedures.
- Perform quality control program to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
- Maintain all records related to sampling process, analysis, instrument maintenance.
- Minimum Diploma or B.S. in Chemistry
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Production Chemistry Laboratory
- Valid H2S certificate

Qualification: BSc or high Diploma in Chemical/ electrical Engineering from recognized university or technical Institute.
- Language: High command for English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Training: An approved course/ apprenticeship for one year in the field of power and distribution oil & dry transformers and switchgear Testing Laboratory.
- Experience: + 10 years in electrical and chemical (oil testing) Lab testing of various manufacture and type of transformers and MV&LV switchgears with Electricity Utility Authorities and or manufacturers.

, supporting a research project on Qatar's maritime sector resilience. The role includes data collection, literature reviews, workshop coordination, and assisting with publication preparation.

Key Accountabilities Provide comprehensive research support aligned with the project's focus on enhancing Qatar's maritime sector resilience, contributing to data collection, analysis, and documentation processes.

Contribute to literature reviews and participate in the groundwork for publication preparations, collaborating closely within a team setting to achieve research goals.

Contribute to the organization and running of workshops and other types of external engagement.

Participate in collaborative efforts including facilitating various project tasks that enhance understanding of Qatar's maritime sector resilience and other similar duties, as assigned.

Organize and manage collected research materials for ease of access and reference.

Support project leader in hosting workshops and other events, ensuring their smooth execution.

Set up and manage a cloud-based content management software for the storage of non-confidential data, ensuring secure and accessible data management.
