Job Description

Blueprint is looking for a creative, talented Architect/Interior Designer to design beautiful, functional spaces for commercial clients. The ideal candidate is a team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues and partners, is self-motivated, and can complete work to deadlines with minimal supervision. A visual portfolio of past projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

1. Develop initial ideas, gather key project information, discuss requirements with clients, and set project schedules.
2. Understand clients' needs and the needs of space users to develop design concepts and finalize briefs.
3. Consider materials and costs within budgets and negotiate project fees.
4. Conduct feasibility studies for projects.
5. Research and collect information and photographs related to the project.
6. Create mood boards for client presentations.
7. Source products such as fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, and decorations, and provide samples to clients.
8. Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models, often using CAD software.
9. Survey buildings.
10. Collaborate with other designers.
11. Supervise work during the design phase and on-site.
12. Establish costs and work schedules, coordinate with manufacturers and contractors.
13. Identify new business opportunities and promote services to potential clients.
14. Stay updated on new developments in the design industry.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Interior Designing, preferably in the Interiors/Fit-out Industry.
3. Extensive knowledge in commercial design, with proven experience in retail and F&B projects.
4. High technical proficiency, including CAD and model-making skills.
5. Strong drawing skills, including perspective drawing and spatial awareness.
6. Creative, imaginative, with artistic flair.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Knowledge of building and safety regulations.
9. Understanding of the broader construction and design industries.
10. Project management skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
11. Attention to detail and organizational skills.

This job is active and accepting applications.

1. Creating concept designs from scratch, including themes, color schemes, materials, etc., and preparing all necessary documentation for presentation and understanding by third parties (sketches, mood boards, material sample boards, etc.).
2. Issuing design development and execution drawings using CAD software.
3. Communicating with clients and landlords to gather feedback and interpret their requirements into the design.
4. Obtaining approvals from clients, malls, and other relevant entities.
5. Supervising the site to ensure the design is implemented correctly.
6. Developing a Bill of Quantities.
7. Keeping all stakeholders continuously updated on project progress.
8. Developing procurement and work schedules for projects.

• Excellent command of English.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.

Nature and Scope of Position :

• Receive the furniture delivery order from CFD and take the appropriate action on such order and issue furniture to the requester in efficient way.
• Conduct the routing inspection on exiting furniture and prepare the snags reports and submit the same to Head of Maintenance Section.
• Make sure all the furniture snags have been rectified by the maintenance crew in efficient and timely manner.
• Store all the furniture (used and new) in appropriate way and make-sure no any damage occur during the internal transportation.
• Coordinate with Civil Technical Supervisor on carpentry maintenance tasks including routine repair and painting of all kind of furniture such as workstations partitions, class room desks, chairs, cabinets, office tables, office chairs, countertops, wooden doors and hardware etc.
• Make sure all the furniture delivery request are well attended daily basis (from the store and To the store)
• Maintain the furniture inventory and update the same on daily basis, and inform the Head of store whenever re 1 ordering needed.
• Inspect and take-over the new furniture supplied by outsourced furniture suppliers.
• Monitor and take corrective action where applicable against the furniture installation as per the approved layout shop drawings executed by outsources furniture suppliers.
• Conduct routing inspection to furniture warehouse of QU and make sure all the furniture are stored properly as per the standards and manufacture's recommendations.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by superiors
