**Core responsibilities include**:
Duties and Responsibilities:
**Student support **(60%)
Provide individual and small group tutoring to students in the ARC.
Offer Supplemental Instruction and recitation sessions as needed.
Assists students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills.
**Faculty/staff support **(20%)
Works closely with relevant course instructors and other ARC staff (however, is expected to show initiative and independence in developing support programs).
Meets regularly with course instructors and may assist with reviewing course materials
Develops handouts and delivers workshops.
**Class attendance and proctoring (10%)**
Attend classes regularly, may assist with lab prep and delivery, in-class record-keeping, proctoring quizzes and exams as necessary.
**Miscellaneous (10%)**
Attends weekly ARC staff meetings

**Minimum qualifications/ Education/training**:
B.S. degree in Biological Sciences and experience working with undergraduate students.
**Experience**:
Previous tutoring or teaching experience in an academic institution is preferred.

3. Compile and update manuals and guidelines related to practical sessions, lab sessions, internship, and field trips, etc. under the supervision of the instructor.

Minimum requirements include a Master of Science degree in Anatomy/ Physiology with excellent verbal and written communications kills.
Preference will be given to applicants who are able to provide innovative and dynamic teaching and have previous experience with course management and lecture delivery, PowerLab® digital data acquisition systems for teaching & research, Pulse oximeter, Spirometer, Glucometer, sphygmomanometer both mercurial and digital, urine analysis, water baths, hematology kits for determination of blood groups, microscopes, histology slides and anatomy models of human body parts and experience in laboratory animal handling.

- Demonstrate to students and monitor student work in a laboratory setting closely related to a work situation to facilitate practice-based learning.
- Assist in ensuring that laboratory equipment and materials are available and appropriately prepared for instructional delivery.
- Maintain health and safety, best practices during laboratory or workshop activities and ensuring all equipment and materials are handled according to university policies and procedures to safeguard laboratory users against injury and in the event of an incident assist in the preparation of incident reports as per university requirements.

- Master's degree or Trade Designation in HR or business is required.
- Professional Certification in the discipline of instruction (HR) is preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of academic experience with a record of successful faculty appraisals, particularly in teaching performance Industry
- A minimum of three (3) years of employment experience as a practitioner/professional within the relevant discipline
- 5+ years of employment experience as a practitioner/professional within the relevant discipline
- Teaching experience in a post-secondary, adult training, or industry training environment
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Arabic is preferable
