What you'll be doing
As a Trainer for Learning & Development in Doha, you will play a critical part in shaping the learning culture within our retail teams across Qatar and India. You will be responsible for delivering in-person sessions in Qatar and virtual training for India across core programs such as Retail Induction, Accreditation, Omnichannel, and Frontline Leadership.Your key responsibilities include the below:
- Facilitate engaging and interactive sessions tailored to the needs of diverse audiences across locations.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador and key influence on the employee experience through high-impact training delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the Retail Academy and L&D teams to ensure consistency and alignment in training delivery.
- Monitor participant engagement and provide feedback to improve learning outcomes.
- Adapt training methods to cater to both in-market and virtual learning needs.
What you'll need to succeed:
- You are an Arabic speaker with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in training, learning & development, or facilitation roles.
- You arecommitted, outgoing, assertive, well-spoken, and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- You preferably have experience in the retail or hospitality fields.

**Reporting to: General Manager**
**Job Summary**
Responsible for Learning & Development needs and managing the overall training functions of the property including planning and implementing Learning and Development initiatives for all Associates of the property to meet both objectives and achievement of goals set forth by the Management and Marriott International.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
**Learning and Development Administration**
- Liaise with all Department Heads to identify Associates learning and development needs and support the implementation of the property Training Plan to meet the brand standard.
- Work with GM and DHR or MHR to create details annual training plan and budget.
- Administer the Learning & Development budget.
- In conjunction with Department Heads, develop departmental on the job training schedules that meet departmental operating objectives.
- Prepare and administer the learning and development calendar on a regular basis.
- Assist department heads / outlet managers and supervisors in setting up and scheduling of on-the-job training to achieve performance according to brand standard.
- Prepare and submit Learning & Development related plans and reports as required for distribution to property management level.
- Manage and update monthly training record of Associates and ensure that all Associates have carried out training hours according to Marriott, Learning & Development Brand Standard.
**Learning and Development Activities**
- Ensure that all new Associates attend the Property Orientation program and comply with the Marriott Global Source Online Training.
- Prepare management/supervisory, specific professional programs and other training based on needs analysis, and submit for approval of the General Manager.
- Deliver certain property-wide Learning & Development courses for all Associates and track all those courses being carried out in the property on an ongoing basis.
- Monitors and evaluates all in-house and other training programs which include actual supervision of a language training program.
- Develop departmental trainers from various departments or outlets according to the Marriott International Brand Standard. Monitor all training activities conducted on and off site.
- Facilitate Management Training Programs to ensure that Management Trainee achieves his/her own project assignments successfully with coaching from his/her direct manager or GM.
- Present training initiatives to continually improve standard of services, productivity and morale of Associates.
**Other Duties**
- Submit periodic reports and plans to the General Manager on all areas of Learning & Development
- Build and improve relationship with concerned government office such as Skill Development Department and educational institutes.
- Fulfill all other duties as may be assigned by General Manager within the scope of this position and/or within the limits of the company policies.
