Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 7–10 years of legal experience, with at least 3–5 years in the GCC.
  • Prior in-house experience with a group holding company or multinational organization is highly preferred.

Requirements
• Law degree obtained from universities identified in the World Higher Education Database (WHED) published by the International Association of Universities. • More than 15 years of practical and relevant experience since obtaining the educational qualifications specified, with a minimum of 7 years of specialized experience in transaction advisory and PPPs. • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in North America, W. Europe, UK, Australia, or New Zealand or an equivalent developed country or GCC. • Minimum 7 years of experience with roles similar to the proposed role. • In-depth knowledge of PPP procedures and processes. • In-depth understanding of sector and environmental legislation and regulations. • Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large PPP projects. • Strong communication skills both orally and written to build and maintain excellent working relationships within complex structures, both internally and with various project stakeholders. Desirable Requirements: • Master’s degree in a relevant field. • Highly desirable to have Chartership, Licensed or Professional Certification obtained from internationally recognized professional institutions or organizations. • Highly desirable to have Arabic language skills. • Highly desirable to have experience in Qatar and/or the Gulf region.

Legal Responsibilities

To perform advisory role as per compliance monitoring manual so as to support compliance with lawsand regulations to which the organization is exposed. Further, provide legal support to Complianceofficer in preparation and review of compliance register and checklist, liaise with external lawyers / authorities for obtaining clarification / confirmation on applicability / inapplicability of various lawsaffecting the company

Review, validate and approve compliance audit reports / other reports prepared by the complianceofficer, and ensure submission of final reports to the management and support further submission toboard.

Perform any other tasks as described to be performed by the legal consultant in the compliancemonitoring manual.
