GovCIO is currently hiring for a Network Manager. This position will be located in AUAB, Qatar and will be an onsite position.
ResponsibilitiesProvide network operations. The contractor shall:
- Use AFCENT provided standard network devices for routing and switching;
- Operate, maintain and sustain IP based routers, switches and standard AFCENT approved operating systems on AFCENT network devices;
- Configure Tier 2 routing and switching devices IAW SPIN-C;
- Design and implement solutions, and install and maintain network equipment to support new and emerging requirements;
- Provide responsive services, real-time network level configuration control, network restoration, quality control and performance standards, status reporting, MSL, and other actions IAW SPIN-C;

- Ensures anesthesia providers have physiologic monitoring of patients notifying the anesthesia provider(s) of abnormal changes in vital signs and/or physical appearance of the patient.
- Monitors patients during anesthesia: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and temperature, during surgeries or procedures where anesthesia is administered. Report any changes or abnormalities to the anesthesiologist.
- Provides emergency care, including artificial ventilation, external cardiac massage and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Sets up, tests, calibrates and operates complex physiologic monitors such as anesthesia workstations, intubation/airway devices, fiber optic endoscopes, physiologic monitors and infusion devices.
- Troubleshoots anesthesia equipment malfunctions, routing non-functional equipment to the proper department for repair.
- Consults Operating Room schedule to determine supply and equipment needs for procedures.
- Supports anesthesia providers using aseptic or sterile technique with non-invasive and invasive patient procedures including peripheral and/or central intravenous and/or arterial line placement and regional anesthesia techniques.
- Performs peripheral Intravenous cannulation for patients.
- Supports intra-hospital patient transport, insuring integrity of all monitoring and/or circulatory support devices.
- Participates in the operating room infection control programs by performing duties such as maintaining cleanliness in anesthetic equipment in accordance with quality assurance programs and appropriate disposal of hazardous waste.
- Ensures strict adherence to established procedures to minimize operating room pollution
- Participates in the infection program auditing.
- Maintains appropriate supplies and equipment in supply carts, report needs/usage to supervisor as required.
- Obtains supplies and equipment as requested by anesthesia providers.
- Assists with patient laboratory tests and results including, but not limited to, ABG's, ACTs and other point of care tests.
- Obtains blood products and pharmaceuticals assisting with preparation and delivery under the direct supervision of the anesthetist. Maintains immediate availability to assist in routine and emergency procedures.
- Responsible for the narcotics safe handling: Replenishment, documentation, wastage and the daily cycle count (audit).
- Participates in patient education programs.
- Collaborates with clinical supportive departments such as Laboratory, Biomedical engineering and pharmacy.
- Assists Anesthesiologist in life saving interventions as well as bedside operations in out of OR locations (ED, PICU, NICU, CICU, birthing Center …).
- Participates in departmental Quality Improvement and Risk Management Activities including audits.
- Participates in new staff/ student orientation aimed at developing competence and performance.
- Collaborates with the peri-operative team: work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
- Participate in the operating theater clinical coordination, provide support and assistance as required.
- Develops and maintain own knowledge, clinical skills (mandatory training) and professional. (portfolio or profile) awareness and maintains a professional profile. Provides documented evidence of performance and maintenance of skills consistent with position.
- Conducts medical education sessions in Anesthesiology department and perioperative services.

- Performs daily and weekly quantity checks as well as a monthly expiry check to clean supplies used in all anesthesia giving areas including Main Clean Supplies Rooms.

- Shall operate a comprehensive Refrigerant Recovery Program to ensure the proper handling, containment, and management of refrigerants in compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and best practices.
- Shall provide written reports after the completions of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications of each system or component.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
