Job Description
This role is key to keeping our hotel operating at maximum capacity. This is a varied and interesting position where your skills as an electrician, plumber or painter will be put to good use and you will continue to develop your skills in all kinds of maintenance areas. Working in a small but efficient team you will take on daily tasks inside and outside hotel rooms, guest and public areas and even within the F&B environment. Your quick work will ensure that everything operates as smoothly as it should.
- Attend to all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing repairs maintenance of the hotel facilities, including the physical building structure, fixtures & fittings, plant and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation, preventative and reactive maintenance good practice.
- Complete weekly maintenance schedule and work
- Carry out regular maintenance inspections of the building, plant and equipment as per the daily checklist.
- Assist with preventative maintenance of fire protection systems ensuring all items are inspected as per scheduled requirements and that firefighting and safety features of the building operate at peak efficiency always.
- Assist with repairs and Maintenance of the Staff Accommodation as when the need arise.
- Monitor the inventory in the stores and ensure that there are adequate stocks of materials
- Keep an accurate and up to date record of stocks and equipment
- Ensure and takes responsibility for the cleanliness and safety aspects of equipment and tools in all hotel engineering related areas, including plant and electrical distribution rooms and storerooms.
