Job Title: Maintenance Lead – Beach Operations
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Lead to oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities across our beach facilities. This includes ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and cleanliness of all beach-related infrastructure such as restrooms, showers, seating areas, equipment storage, and utilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work proactively in an outdoor beach environment.
The Maintenance Lead will play a critical role in ensuring that the beach remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for all guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
-Daily Maintenance Oversight:
Supervise and carry out daily maintenance checks on all beach facilities, including bathrooms, showers, lighting, seating areas, walkways, and drainage systems.
-Team Supervision:
Lead a team of maintenance staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely completion of all maintenance duties. Provide training and support where needed.
-Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all beach equipment and infrastructure to avoid breakdowns and ensure long-term functionality.
-Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical issues. Coordinate with specialized contractors for major repairs as needed.
-Safety Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines. Address potential hazards immediately to maintain a safe environment.
-Facility Appearance and Cleanliness:
Ensure that all visible areas of the beach—restrooms, showers, storage areas, pathways, and guest zones—are kept clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
-Equipment and Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance equipment. Keep track of inventory levels and request restocks when needed.
-Emergency Response:
Be prepared to respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues (e.g., water leaks, power outages, broken fixtures) and coordinate emergency repairs during or after operating hours.
-Coordination with Other Departments:
Work closely with the beach manager, cleaning team, and operations staff to ensure maintenance tasks align with daily operations and guest needs.
-Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, inspections, and repair needs. Submit regular reports to management on facility conditions and project progress.
Qualifications:
-5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
-Previous supervisory or team lead experience in maintenance or facility management
-Ability to read technical manuals, plans, and schematics
-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
-Good communication skills and ability to work well with diverse teams
-Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions, including heat and humidity
-Flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends and holidays if needed
Preferred:
-Previous experience working in a beach, resort, or outdoor facility environment
-Basic knowledge of water pump systems, outdoor lighting, and weatherproofing
-Certification in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing is a plus
-Capable of communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Work Environment:
This is a physically demanding, outdoor role that involves walking, lifting, climbing, and operating tools in a beach setting. The Maintenance Lead must be able to work in varying weather conditions, including high temperatures, wind, and humidity. Availability during peak hours, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Ensure the execution of head office activities concerning pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, test run, training, operation, and handing over of the plant to the Client according to contractual requirements and project objectives in terms of safety, quality, budget, and schedule.

- Assist Services Purchasing and Subcontracting Department in defining subcontractors' scope of work.
- Supervise preparation of the integrated schedule for all activities, including defining temporary logistics, tools, and control methods.
- Participate in project review meetings to ensure requirements are duly complied with.
- Support the HSE Manager in preparing the HSE Plan for related activities.
- Verify the HSE Plan for pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, test run, and operation.
- Participate in HAZOP review meetings as needed.
- Prepare, review, and check Purchase Requisitions (RdA) and Technical Evaluations.
- Review 3D Model for compliance with requirements on accessibility and operability.
- Define commissioning systems and handover priorities.
- Define and review commissioning spare parts and consumables.

Participate in project review meetings to ensure compliance with commissioning and operation requirements. Support the HSE Manager in preparing the general HSE Plan. Verify the preparation of the HSE Plan for pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, test run, and operation. Participate in HAZOP review meetings when deemed necessary. Ensure preparation and checking of Purchase Requisitions (RdA) and Technical Evaluations within own responsibility.
